Now, I've only done a 10 year ine-depth study on Genesis and Revelation, so I'm no expert. But, it is my belief that Israel will be at least the symbolic Kingdom of God - because that is how it is portrayed in Revelation. So, if you believe Revelation will come true, then Israel will be the Kingdom here on earth.

But, it could all be symbolic.

When I first began studying Revelation, I thought there were some pretty clear signs of how the end times would come about, and that there would be a Second Comimg sometime in my life, within the next 20 years (there is always that 2013 date of the Incas hanigng out there). But the more I look at it, the more I think it just might be all symbolic for the struggle between God and Satan; and their followers. Maybe it was more just hoping to see Him in my lifetime.

If nothing else Revelation gives us hope, which is exactly what is was meant to do when it was written.

The world will come to an end, because the earth will incinerate when the Sun becomes a huge fireball, but that is not for years yet.

God bless,

T.R.

Did you know that the religion forum was started as a result of the Christian teachings I posted on here when I was a moderator?

Not Only will Israel be the Kingdom on earth so it will be in the World to Come, If you have studied Revelation then you will see the City the new Jerusalem Coming down from Heaven and which name is Sion, which is a jewish Word and the 12 Gates all have the name of the 12 tribes of Israel.
Not the name of 12 churches, so God's covenant with Israel is eternal even beyond this earth.

Well thanks for starting this forum.
Shalom

Not to quibble, but I believe you are talking about the Mayan date of 2012. The Mayans lived in the southern part of present day Mexico and Central America. The Mayans were avid astronomers and meticulous time keepers who were able to develop very complex and astonishingly accurate calanders for predicting astronomical phenomenon such as eclipses that took place at times in the remote past and what would have been the distant future for them. Their civilization reached its zenith about 1,000 years ago and then mysteriously declined and disappeared. The Mayan calander comes to an end on the Winter Solstice (December 21) of 2012. It does not exactly predict the end of the world, it just ends as of that date.

The Incas lived in present day Peru and built many impressive stone edifices. It reached its peak in the early 16th century when it was defeated and destroyed by the Spanish conquistidor Juan Pizzaro.

That's equivalent to 1 day for God and his saints.
