Default how should a christian handle this????

i am not an overly religious person but i do believe in god, but lately i have had an issue come up that i am having great difficulty accepting, our son has shown signs of being homo sexual. my wife is doing much better than myself, but i'm not sure i can stomach or handle this, i'm even afraid that it may cause problems with me and my wife.

i'm just having a hard time accepting it. the other problem is that he is in the armed forces and we worry for his safety he has been singled out in the past but he loves what he is doing, as a parent i can't help but worry, any ideas or input will be appricated

First thing a Christian would do is talk to God. He is there for everyone, but has His rules--you have to follow His instructions to get an answer.

Second thing, accept that you cannot control everything, pray for him, and hope that he turns around. You might even see if you can get him into some sort of councelling. Regardless of what "society" says, that is not normal human behavior and may be a sign of mental illness or repressed emotional trauma.

Last thing: you hate the sin, but love the sinner. He's still your son. Reject the lifestyle, but don't reject your son.

Never Reject a son, Those that have that life style are quite the contrary of GAY, they are usually highly depressed and suicidal in a lot of cases.
So love him, don't get angry ,just with Love tell him he is just a sinner like anybody else, therefore he needs Christ.
Peace

To asume that a Father and a Christian are one and the same is a real stretch.
There are Christian Fathers, atheist Fathers, heathen Fathers, and fathers who worship satan. The latter 3 will not share the same concerns as the Christian, as they serve another god and have not the morals within that the abiding presence of God gives unto the believer.

This link might help. It's a Catholic apostolate that's geared to helping homosexuals live chastely. It would be helpful I'm sure to people of any denomination.
