If we unite as one in Christ we will unite in the truth.

Bingo!! "Till we ALL come into the unity of the faith!!
"earnesty CONTEND for THE FAITH, which was once delievered unto the saints".
One loves THE truth, or he hates THE truth. One loves the light, or he loves the darkness. One loves the ways of God, or he hates the ways of God.
No man can serve two masters, he will love the one, and hate the other.

Let's look a little closer Snooky..because this not only applies to you and I but each one of us..

Bingo!! "Till we ALL come into the unity of the faith!!
Unity.???.till we all come to Ray's interpretation of the truth..or C7s or Chad's or Snooky's , Sarge's , Dave H or Vince..and the others..we have many different ones right here..is this what that verse is implying? or is not spiritual unity when each of us grows up in the Lord.."bearing with one another so fulfilling the law of Christ?is not our individual goal to be Christ like..and what does that look like? Jesus , full of grace and truth...When we WALK in the truth and not merely talk the Truth we will radically be changed..I'm sure we all know this as well.

"earnesty CONTEND for THE FAITH, which was once delievered unto the saints".I'm afraid if we each earnestly contended for our faith there would be none of us left..Great verse by the way ..but there are many more..some saying to win the lost..without a word...some that say speaking the truth in love and in gentleness..bearing with one another..forgiving one another for Christ sake..nurturing..yanking some out of the fire..waiting patiently as the prodical's father did..etc. etc..The Word is full and not restricted to a single concept..There is a time ot speak and a time to be still..

The trouble is Snooky..everyone of us believes 100% that we have the truth so why would we adopt a different message? now..when one comes bearing precious fruit..folks take note..and after a while may ask about the hope within..but first..one must win the respect by bearing the fruit..the proof of the pudding..

One loves THE truth, or he hates THE truth.{ Snooky.,I'm certain everyone on here loves the truth if he or she didn't they wouldn't be on here.} One loves the light, or he loves the darkness. One loves the ways of God, or he hates the ways of God.
No man can serve two masters, he will love the one, and hate the other. That verse sir was in the context of serving money or God..

ELijah had a simliliar attitude once..{ Thinking he was alone in this walk} and God speaks, " Haven't I reserved for myself 7000 men who have not bowed the knee to Baal." Presently there is an innumerable number being saved..God is much bigger than all of us.None of us has a monopoly on the things of God..He giveth His wisdom and salvation to all who will ask. .

Yes, what applies to one applies to all, why keep trying to devide the truth into portions?

Unity.???.till we all come to Ray's interpretation of the truth.

The truth is of no private interpretation. Why can't one simply believe Gods word as it is written. Chuck, It is the truth that applies unto everyone of us. When personal interpretation is added, you have just presented another Gospel, another doctrine, another Jesus!

The trouble is Snooky..everyone of us believes 100% that we have the truth so why would we adopt a different message?

No, not so Chuck, I have had to adjust my stand on several issues in recent years. I have seen others also shift a little one way, then the other. I have even seen you flip flop in and out of certain issues, Haven't we??

Snooky.,I'm certain everyone on here loves the truth if he or she didn't they wouldn't be on here.

There are some who profess openly that they are not of the faith and are here to devide the church. Then there are those who are in sheeps clothing, seeking whom they may devore. They profess that they love God, but in works deny him.

God gives The Holy Ghost unto those that obey him.

They profess that they love God, but in works deny him...I don't see none of those..for how can one judge a man's works from reading a forum??I do see Christians in different stages of the walk..and I do see alot of different denonminations being representd..just because they are different from mine I wouldn't call ANYONE here a wolf..not even you ..but I do know that he that hateth his brother walketh in darkness.

God gives The Holy Ghost unto those that obey him.

To Ray Phillips,
Do you listen to any preacher at all? I beleive it's very good to hear other teachers that you respect and trust..One of my utmost favorites is Adrain Rogers..I heard a message this morning that I think Snooky would have loved..The Foundation..who is God? Excellent Word..He spoke from Gen. in the beginning. Adrian Rogers is an excellent example about not labeling folks..To hear him speak you would never know which denonminatin he is from ..I love this man to death..he has the gentleness. sincereness , wisdom and love of God..

Here's a little 2 1/2 minute sample of Adrian answering the question..why there is evil in the world and is God responsible..

Open up your hearts and be blessed..

My overall favorite preacher { -;
He's gone to be with Jesus so this is him at his last days I'm sure.

I do the same exact thing..BUT I don't make a blanket statement saying that ALL churches are false..because they are not..There are 100s out there I'm sure that are doing a fantastic job..I for one don't watch TV so I don't know who is preaching these days.

I have worked hard in a few local churches..I've never been a sitter but a worker..but unbelievable things happened..some..I could have handled things much differently..and then some was beyond me..they were all great learning experiences..and if God opens the doors I would begin going again..but right now..it's working so why fix it??

I'm not bitter though for I see ALL things working together for good..even what seemed like bad church expereinces..There are many today like us that are home churching..and there are many benefits...I still $give like we always have..but to keep from being a law unto ourselves we will hear other pastors from time to time..Shucks..one can pull up Billy Sunday or Tozer , Brainerd ,Finney, John Wesley..etc. etc..We are limited my friend and it's good to hear from other brothers as well.

I see the same theme being repeated over and over by some. "You cannot sin anymore following salvation, if you want to stay saved." NOTE: I put quotes around it - it's not a quote, but paraphrases the thought. The same people telling us this admit to not being perfect themselves and (this IS a quote) stated.

IMO this has been too good to let it die w/o looking at a couple of more important points.
Paul made some powerful, doctrinal, statements in his epistle to the Corinthians, II co. 5:17 If ANY MAN be IN CHRIST!! There is a key point concerning the lives lived, and whether one is presented before God in sin, or presented in a white garment of blood washed Grace. When one stands before God he cannot boast of his baptism, his church affilation, his modest dress, his fasting, his giving, his wittnessing, or any other works of salvation, or of obedience, The only thing that will matter is having the soul cleansing blood covering the many failures we experienced in this life. Is sin imputed? or is it remitted? Is one IN CHRIST, or in the flesh?
Is the sin of unbelief going to receive a sentence of eternal death, OR is believing as did our Father Abraham going to be accounted for righteousness?? Jesus declared, "except" (without any exception) ye be born again, ye cannot see The Kingdom. Connect the dots with Johns epistle, "he that sinneth hath not seen God, neither known him" "He that sinneth" being one that hearing, stoppeth his ears, hardeneth his heart, and pulleth away his shoulder, and continues walk in darkness, rejecting the light of Gods Grace which bringeth salvation.
One is Christ is a NEW CREATURE, not a remodeled, white washed scepultre full of dead mens bones, but had received clean heart and a right spirit in the creation of the new man, "that new man being the Temple of God, which ye ARE"
Verse 18, Paul declared that God HATH reconciled us unto himself. Verse 19 He father states that the reconciling of the world unto himself, hinged upon the fact that their trespasses were not imputed unto them. Verse 20-21 be YE reconciled unto God, For He hath made him, who knew no sin, to be sin FOR US, that we might be MADE THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD in him.
So it is not of works that we are saved, but by the Grace of God.

Bro Phillips has touched on the spiritual aspect of communion, How often have we heard someone declare that one must examine himself and see if he is worthy to partake of the Lords Table. Friend, you are made worthy by the Grace of Gods blood, or you will stand in judgement depending upon your works to justify your salvation.
Having begun in The Spirit, are ye now made perfect in the flesh? Walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.
Have ye not read in Luke 3:4 As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderess, Prepare ye the way of The Lord, make his paths straight. V5 Every valley shall be filled, and every mountian and hill shall be brought low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth; V6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.
Believeth thou this??
