Default Swearing... What does the bible say about it?

Does The Bible say anything against swearing?

There are several ways I think about this issue. Whe I was an elementary student, I had a teacher who said, "those use swear words don't have a big enough vocabulary to express what they are thinking." That always stuck with me and I always remembered it as a child if I ever thought about using bad language. Secondly, how do your words sound to those around you, or more importantly, how do they sound to the Heavenly Father? Would you go into your prayer closet and begin to use a bunch of expletives to describe how you are feeling about someone or some situation? I think it's a very poor witness to those who are unsaved and usuallly reflect a deeper spiritual problem, such as anger, jealousy, or resentment. Here is a scripture that is very sobering on this topic.
James 3:9-12
9 With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. 10 Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. 11 Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? 12 My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.

Pastor Jim; I have heard you excuses for not posting more on here, but wish you would see fit to bless us a little more often with the things that God has blessed you with.
There are a few who welcome truth whenever we find it, and through whatever vessel God chooses to send it unto us.
Your quote above is absolutely dead center Brother. From the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh. A heart filled with praise, has nothing but praise to bring forth. Nothing can slip out, if it is being harbored there. Dead men do not retailate when cursed, lied upon, cheated, mistreated, ect. Now are ye dead unto sin! One cannot coax a cross word, or an ill advised swear word from one who is dead. It is only from the one who is still alive unto sin that cannot control his tongue.
So what is the solution to the problem of sin in ones life? Take that live animal to the brazen alter and sacrifice him unto the Lord God. Crucifice him unto sin. Except a corn of wheat fall into the earth AND DIE, it abideth alone. Crucify the old man with the effections and lust there of, and allow the new life in Christ to spring forth.
Man only does what man chooses to do. I chose to live for God! I chose be a new creation in his image. I chose to lay aside every weight, and the sin that doeth so easily beset me. I chose to run with patience, the race that is set before me. I chose to let Christ live within and give me the grace to over come everything that the old sinful man couldn't overcome on his own. I chose to love him, because he first loved me,and gave himself for me. The Heavenly Father offered me the spirit of adoption, and I chose to except his offer. He said he would graft me into the root and fatness of the tame olive tree, and I chose to allow it to be done. He offered to allow me to partake of the devine nature of Christ, and I chose that over the old sinful nature that I was born into this world with. He offered to make me a God offered Me His Holy Spirit, and I chose to give him my heart to live in. He asked me to be his Bride, and I chose to be espoused unto him. He went to prepare a place for me, and I have chosen to prepare myself for his returning for me.
It is totally a condition of the heart that those around us see in our lives. Let your light SO shine that men may SEE your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
