I'll go a little further, now that I'm not in a hurry.
What I meant was, just because the doc says you don't have a chance (as was the case with my mother), it doesn't mean you should give up and die. Faith, perserverence, and prayer had everthing to do wtih my mother still being alive today...along with some very skilled surgeons.
She trusted God rather than the doc that told her it was over, and she never gave up. She nearly died twice, and even the doctors that performed her surgery called the family in once. That was 14 years ago this past September. She's not in good health now, but for someone that was supposed to have passed on over 14 years ago, she's doing pretty good.
