I agree we need witness to non believers. But many times I weary of the same old stuff about evolution. We see it every few months and sometimes monthly.
Many times I think whats the use, but there maybe one in a thousand that will listen and can think outside of the box that they were trained to think in. We should get the one, but many times I just fail to post, I mean we have went around this tree how many times in the few years I have been on here.

Brethern, we need to remember what took place in the beginning, in the Garden. The plan of Satan was revealed as he attacked the credibility of God. It was successful then and has continued to be the main weapon in the war against God and his righteous followers. It is the majot deterent preventing millions from placing their trust in the Creator. He that doubteth is damned because he eateth not by faith. Whatsoever is not of faith is sin. Sin, if unforgiven will bar one out of Heaven, and is a one way ticket to hell.
Brethern, there is a reason to the madness often seen on here by those who know not, or believe not God. The bottom line is to keep new converts from entering into the body of righteous believers, AND to place doubt in the hearts of those who profess to know God.

In the past year I have gone from being essentially an Atheist to an enthusiastic Deist. I realize that fundamentalist Christians will still consider me an enemy of the Bible but for me it is a significant change in outlook and has changed my world view for the better.
I agree that these creation-evolution debates often go on too long and can really wear an active participant down. Why don't we have an informal agreement to limit them to no more than one thread every three months and put a limit of 20 pages on them. When we get to page 19 everyone will know it is time to present their final arguments since the issue will not be discussed again for at least another three months.
Once upon a time, there was a single cell floating in a pond of water or soup, then lighting stroke it and the cell began to divide and it became the first life form.
OK: But who made the water and or the soup or the single cell ?
2- Then this life form after millions upon millions of years , thought to himself, well I don't like the way I look , and I'm wet all the time , I think I'll grow some legs and walk outside on the dry land"

One day when he was drinking water in this pristine clear lake, he saw his reflection and he said, damn ! I'm ugly as elephant dung, while this big wide nose and sunken eyes and raised forehead and eyebrows , they just got to go, so he though hard and hard became a man, he also shed his hair because he looked too animal like.
So now he also said ,I'm so stupid so I have to increase my IQ and so he did, of course this took billions of years.
So in the last 60 years that amoeba cell soupy crap, invented many things and even send himself to the moon and send satellites up so he can watch his favorite TV shows and everything.
Of course this doesn't explain who these forms were mating with so that in each transitory stage , it would maintain that species and doesn't explain the millions of species on this earth and Oceans.
Yep , I'll think I'll stick with Genesis.

Lemaitre, I don't think you are an enemy of the Bible, at least not intentionally. I think you are more mislead and ill-informed, and like most of the rest of us it's going to take a lot to convince you that what you believe might not be correct.
IMO, from atheist to Deist is a big step, and hopefully one in the right direction.
