deerhunter; Reqardless of what some think, one can never be too concerned where the soul and the relationship with Almighty God is concerned. When the love of many waxes cold, it is reflected in a lax flirtation with sin and ungodliness.
Another way of saying in ones heart, "there is no God" is to say that God doesn't care and will not hold one accountable for breaking his holy commandments. I cannot say which "words", are sin, but the bottom line is this. From the aboundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh. A pure heart will speak pure things. A foul heart will speak foul language. Speech is a reflection of the condition of the heart. If a man can control the tongue, (organ used in conjunction with speech) the same is a perfect man. Also. if a man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man.
Remember the old saying, "if in doubt?? it is dirty"!
Faith comes from a confidence in God. If one is in doubt because of his words, actions, ect. he cannot have faith! Sin condemns and destroys faith. Without faith, it is IMPOSSIBLE to please him. Listen to the voice you are hearing. Would the wicked one be telling one to clean up his act? To guard his mouth? To show forth good works and sound speech as becometh holiness?

What about "praise The Lord", "Thank you Jesus", "well glory". "bless God" . Wouldn't they work just as well? And give God praise at the same time?? May be we are a little intimidated by the presence of sinners??

I usually don't bring the Lord's name into common conversation, such as "Thank God traffic was light this morning". When I do invoke His name, I usually REALLY mean it. I try not to make it an exclamation, so as not to make His name pedestrian.

Didn't say it did,....did I?

On second thought, I didn't say it wasn't alright.
It was just something I noticed that pertains to this post.

After all, does the Bible say... "Thou shalt not say "frickin"?
I try not to judge people.
