Default My Father - Bro. Motor

Hello All,
My name is Teresa and I am the daughter of Bro. Motor (motorman as some may know him). My dad had been confined to a nursing home the last few months, and this Sunday, August 16 around noon, he went home to be with the Lord that he loved so very much.

His last few weeks on this earth were wracked with pain and dementia, many times not knowing who he was, let a lone his family. As hard as it is on us, his remaining family and friends, he is, at last at peace. I've no doubt he is overjoyed to be with his own sweet parents, my two sisters who passed on before, and probably driving the saints of old crazy wtih one question after another (and maybe an argument or two.)

I know he found many friends here, and loved and prayed for many of you. Please pray for my mother, while she is handling things well now, losing a husband after 59 years is never easy.

Thank you for all the joy you all brought my father.
Bathed in HIS mercy and grace,
Teresa "O'Neal"

Thank you so much for your kind words. I was always "Daddy's Little Girl", and when I was being hardheaded, I heard, "You are JUST like your father." Lol. His loss will be felt by so many, but those who saw him in his final days, find peace in knowing that he is no longer in pain, and no longer confused.

Just a side note: the last time I saw my dad, he was having a particularly "confused" day. I went away wondering what God was doing keeping him around in this state. I later found out that one of his nurses had been present on one of his many days that he, himself questioned why he had to stay in this earthly body. He talked about wanting to go home to his Mansion over the hilltop, he wanted to see his babies, his parents, his brother, etc. This nurse slipped out of the room in tears. My mom finally found her in a private corner and asked what was wrong. She replied that she had been raised a Catholic and while her mom went to church, the kids were never made or even invited to go.(My mom gathered that the young lady now attended church) The nurse said, "I've only been doing this for a year (nursing) and Mr. O'Neal is the first patient I have ever become attached to. Hearing him talk about getting rid of this old body and being in a glorified body, free of flaws and pain, makes me sad at losing him, but what joy to know that one day, he will indeed sit at the feet of Christ." I understood then that God can use us, no matter what state we're in to add to His Kingdom. So even in the end, my Pops made a difference in the life of this lovely young nurse. A lesson I believe she will take with her through her career. So never give up hope, and most importantly, never underestimate the power of the most high!

I think I'm safe to say that we all loved Bro. Wayne very much and he will be missed. I know that he was looking forward to his homecoming. Heaven is a little nicer now because of him.

I know he is now enjoying what we all wish to see, the face of our Lord and savior.
He is in a place where there is no more pain ,no more tears ,no more worries.
And we will all see him soon.
Go ahead and grief but don't be angry because he is now 1000% better than we are.
Rest in Peace Brother, Shalom.

Bro Motor truly was one of a kind. I think we all learned and benefited from having known him, even if just through the internet. May God comfort those left behind. Bro Motor will be missed.
