Default Does satan Believe?

Does satan believe the Gospel? Does he believe any of it, some of it? What part of the Gospel does satan not believe?

(James 2:19 KJV) Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
It takes more to live a pleasing life for the Lord than to just believe that he exists.
The devil believes in God, but he just trembles, it doesn't motivate him to do anything else.
A lot of people that are supposedly Christians believe in God, they may even come to church some and do other things in the church but all they do is tremble. They never really do anything for God, they never really let God change there life, they just keep believing in God and never serve God.

The devil cannot be saved through Christ's Sacrifice because only mankind is afforded this salvation, you must be born of Blood and water, Angels are not, IMO
The Devil doesn't repent, he thinks still he is a god.

I have to agree 100%.

Luk 8:13Those on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.
There is a difference Snooky. Dont bite on the lie. This scripture very clearly states that part of believing is being obedient. Just as the english language greek has different possible translations. It can mean an acknowledgement. That is where we have to dig deep into the word. God usually speaks a mystery in which the world thinks one thing and the Spirit of truth reveals another. If believeing the Word of God is a simple acknowledgement how did they fall away from it in a time of testing? Here are difference uses in greek!
1) to think to be true, to be persuaded of, to credit, place confidence in
a) of the thing believed
1) to credit, have confidence
b) in a moral or religious reference
1) used in the NT of the conviction and trust to which a man is impelled by a certain inner and higher prerogative and law of soul
2) to trust in Jesus or God as able to aid either in obtaining or in doing something: saving faith
3) mere acknowledgment of some fact or event: intellectual faith
2) to entrust a thing to one, i.e. his fidelity
a) to be intrusted with a thing

AVbelieve 239, commit unto 4, commit to (one's) trust 1, be committed unto 1, be put in trust with 1, be commit to one's trust 1, believer 1

Why shouldn't he believe in the gospels, after all he witnessed it happening, and yes he's a believer, but not a doer of the word like Alex said.

i'd say yes, all of it, why else would he work so hard trying to destroy it

There is many things that I believe in, that I have chosen to avoid, and not partake in, even though they are real. Hell is real, I believe it, but I choose not to go. The scripture says, "Choose YE this day who ye will serve". I have seen too many stand trembling, with tears flowing down their cheeks as they say they know they should give their lives unto God, but make an excuse to put it off for some reason until another day, to say that they don't believe. But as Alex said they tremble before God, but are not doers, but hearers only. Churches are full of these people today. They believe in God, attend church, profess with their mouth to be christians, but are filled with disobedience and to every good work, reprobate.
Some receive the seed, it germinates, begins to grow in a new new plant. The seed doesn't grow, but the new life that resulted through the death of the seed, and the simulation of water, light, soil and minerals, ect. that brings forth a new leaf, stalk, ear, and more seed in the ear.
But the cares of this life begins to grow around the new plant, and because their is no husbandman to prune, weed, water, fertilize it, (no man of God in their live) The new life dies. They continue living with a form and fashion, but deny the power of God in their lives, and willingly return to sin, believing there is a God, but choosing not to pay the price and sell out to God.
God want cast one into torment, that has not chosen to live contrary unto the Grace of God that has appeared unto them.

Alex pretty much nailed it. I've often wondered why satan doesn't do something completely different from what is prophesied about him and what he will do -- just to make it appear that God was wrong, but he just keeps following the script. He KNOWS the Word, he KNOWS his destruction is assured, but he just can't stop himself from acting in complete opposition to God's will.

Much like the carnal man who hasn't been born again. His ententions are good, but he lacks the help needed to overcome.
