Default Relationship Wisdom from Proverbs

Relationships"¦
Proverbs 6:1My son, if thou be surety for thy friend, if thou hast stricken thy hand with a stranger, 2Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth. 3Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the hand of thy friend; go, humble thyself, and make sure thy friend.

Proverbs 18:24A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Proverbs 23:22Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old.

Proverbs 24"ť28Be not a witness against thy neighbour without cause; and deceive not with thy lips. 29Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work.

Proverbs 2517Withdraw thy foot from thy neighbour's house; lest he be weary of thee, and so hate thee.

Proverbs 25:23The north wind driveth away rain: so doth an angry countenance a backbiting tongue.

Proverbs 25;26A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain, and a corrupt spring.

Proverbs 26:18As a mad man who casteth firebrands, arrows, and death, 19So is the man that deceiveth his neighbour, and saith, Am not I in sport? 20Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.

Proverbs 26:27Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him. 28A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.

Proverbs 27: 2Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.

Proverbs 27:10Thine own friend, and thy father's friend, forsake not; neither go into thy brother's house in the day of thy calamity: for better is a neighbour that is near than a brother far off.

Proverbs 27:14He that blesseth his friend with a loud voice, rising early in the morning, it shall be counted a curse to him.

Proverbs 27:17Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

Proverbs 27:18Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honoured.

Proverbs 2819He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough.

Proverbs 2911A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.

God bless,
