Say you pray a job you want or you would like marry this one girl. Say you get the job and the girls says yes. Would you take this as answer from God or just plan old dumb luck and God had nothing to do with it.

Funny thing is, God has EVERYTHING to do with EVERYTHING. His hand is visible in just about everything (excepting evil) if you open your eyes & heart to Him.

If you're going to give God credit for any good thing you experience, you'll have to give Him credit for the bad stuff too.
Let's say you get that great job and the girl agrees to marry you, you buy a house, have a couple kids, etc.. Are you going to think God has been good to you? So what if a few years down the road, you get laid off from your job, the bank forecloses on the house, the girl divorces you? Are you going to say that God arranged it all?
God has left us with plenty of guidance through the Bible, spiritual leaders, etc. It's up to us to arrange our lives the way He meant us to live. His guidance can help us make the right choices and help get us through the adversities most of us are going to experience sooner or later.
Even sheep have to make decisions

The way I see it, I'm the captain of my ship. I control the sails, I control the ruddrer, I plot the course. But God is the sea and the wind and the rain, etc... I can THINK I'm in control as much as I like, but God can blow me off course any time He chooses in order to put me where He needs me.

I am made to think of Luke chapter 6. The disciples were laboring as the storm was contrary against them as long as Jesus was not in the ship. As soon as Jesus came on-board, the storm ceased.
Christ in you, the hope of Glory, isn't a "joining" unto a group. It's not an exceptance of an idea or philosophy, It is a birth! Walking in the Spirit is only possible through this new birth. It is this abiding Spirit, the Holy Ghost, Christ in you, The Holy Spirit, ect. that assures and speaks to the heart of the new-born, this is the way, walk ye in it.
unless one hears from God for himself, he will doubt his decision with every bump in the road. If he has heard from God, nothing can convince him that he made the wrong choice. God alone knows what tomorrow holds, so cast ALL your cares upon him for he careth for you.
So Say you take a job working at a porn store and marry some girl that doesnt believe in God. Now you prayed to God for you to get a job and the woman to marry you. Either of those two examples fallow what God wants us to do. What I am trying to say is. What ever decision we makewe must fallow what is written in the bible? Like my examples God wouldnt want us doing that.

God has given us plenty of guidance as to what He wants us to do. God does not control us like little puppets. It's up to us to do what's right. If we go off course, it's because of our own actions. God just gives us the map, He doesn't control the course we choose.
We have FREE WILL.
We sheep have totoe the line but the
Shepherd gives you guys lots of freedom

John 1:1 God had, has, and always will have a plan that was set in motion from the beginning.
Man also makes his plans because he doesn't know what Gods plan for his life is. The way that seemeth right unto a man ends in death. No if, ands, or buts about it. That is what the scriptures declares. Mans plans center around himself, my job, my pleasure, my choice, me, me, and more me.
Gods plan begins with, centers around, and ends with God!! Me, my, and mine are not the issue, it is the will of God that counts, nothing else. Until one can say as Paul, "but we have the mind of Christ", he is a blind man, stumbling and groping by feelings and guess work. He is lost in the darkness and knows not where to turn. He is wandering aimlessly with out purpose or direction. No eyes to see! No ears to hear! Sitting by the wayside begging, someone please direct me, I have no sense of direction!!
Then he wants to get testy when he asks for advice and it is given?? 1 Kings 22:7-8 Is there not here another prophet, that we may inquire of him? Yes Micaiah, but I hate him, he does not prophecy good of me!!
