Colossians 20
and through him to reconcile all things for him, making peace by the blood of his cross 11 (through him), whether those on earth or those in heaven.
With Whom Did Jesus had to reconcile in Heaven ?

"And having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him (the One Who finished the work of the cross) to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven."
In other words again, where does that put Christ? In the preeminence. Everything is under His control. Everything as you saw back in one of these earlier verses were created for His pleasure. You and I were created for His pleasure, so the whole idea of the work of the cross was to grant us justification to give us peace with God, and to reconcile us to Him, and we call that reconciliation.
Now the true Greek meaning is to turn from something totally in the opposite direction. Now a lot of times we speak of reconciliation in married couples who may have marriages simply on the rocks. But hopefully if you can bring that estrange husband and wife back together we call that reconciliation. They"™ve turned from their direction going apart from each other and have turned 180 degrees and come back together. Well that exactly what God has done with us. Everyone of us as a believer has been reconciled to God. We were going away from Him, we had no thought for Him or no love for Him, but there came a time when all of a sudden the power of God just literally hooked us didn"™t it? He brought us to Himself, and in the process of that He reconciled us to Himself.
I understand that, but the question is who did he have to reconcile with in Heaven ?

SFC Retired is on the right track here. There's certainly a reconciliation between heaven and earth. The earthly realm was in rebellion from the heavenly.
Alex, the only scripture that comes to my mind is when Jesus said to the apostles that if they couldn"™t/didn"™t understand when worldly things were explained in parables then how was Jesus ever to explain Heavenly things to them/us?
I think there are many things we won"™t understand in this life concerning Heaven.
Among the possibilities my mind comes up with is that perhaps there were angels in Heaven that were simply indifferent when Satan challenged God and these may be the ones that have to be reconciled to God? Just pure speculation on my part though.
If there is scripture thatanswers your question, I an unaware of it.
Thanks

John goes to a bank and borrows money to buy something really nice. He signs the paperwork knowing the penalties involved and knowing he has 12 months to pay back the loan. John is not too worried about the time the note is due. He doesn't have a monthly payment, he just know that in 12 months he has to pay off the balance.
So time goes by and John forgets to pay off the debt. His creditor comes a calling and demands the balance to be paid in full or go to jail. But John can't pay it back and he starts asking for mercy. But the bank wants justice and are threatening to have him thrown in jail. One day while this is going on, his friend Phil over hears the conversation with the bank and decides to step in. He talks to the bank and asks if John would agree to Phils terms then would the bank accept a payment from Phil. The bank agrees. Then Phil turns to John and asks him, If I pay your debt will you abide by my terms? They can be hard, but you can do it. Phil agrees and the bank is satisfied and so is John.
This is the law of Justice and Mercy. And this is what Christ did for us. For God demands Justice if we break a commandment. But the Savior steps in and pays our debt to God if we follow Jesus Christ and do all that he commands. Christ fulfills the law of Justice and the law of Mercy. Thus as mentioned above all things are reconciled.
The old testament saints and all who have since died in Christ are now in Heaven and were reconciled by Christ's death on the cross.
