Default Jhn 14:21-24

What do you all get out of these scripture?
Jhn 14:21
Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him."
Jhn 14:22
Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, "But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?"
Jhn 14:23
Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
Jhn 14:24
He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

My 1st red flag came as I read the wording of the selected scripture. It just didn't ring true, so I checked it against the KJV that I always use and except. and sure enough the word "too" was missing from the KJV. Now I must ask a question, Is this being used to snare someone, or lead them into a discussion of the Oneness VS the Trinity? We havn't had one of those discussions for a couple of weeks now.
V24 Jesus said "he will keep my words". Jesus also said the words I speak, they are "Spirit" and they are life. Jesus also said, "God is a Spirit". Jesus again said, A Spirit hath not flesh and blood as ye SEE me have". The KVJ says "No man hath seen God at any time and lived". Jesus said, "He that hath seen Me, hath seen The Father". If it is to lead into a "Oneness" debate, I would surley choose a more favorable battle ground if I choose to attack from the Trinity standpoint.
It is more reasonable to believe that reference to the necessessity of "ye must be born again" is being made here. The natural, or carnal, mind is not subject unto God, neither in deed can be. Without the new birth, the things of the Spirit are foolishness unto all men. Carnal men cannot know the simplest things of God because they are "Spiritually" discerned. Without the eyes of the Spirit being "enlightened", one is blind and cannot see afar off. If the blind lead the blind they all fall into the ditch and perish. The shewbread, (Jesus the bread of Life) must be eaten in the Light of The Golden candlestick, (Jesus the Light of the world). I will not leave you comfortless, I will come again unto you. When He The Spirit of Truth is come, He will lead you into ALL truth.
One MUST know Gods will before he can perform it!! The Wordl knew him not! The world crucified him on the cross! He came unto his own, and his own received him not, BUT as many as received HIM to them gave he power to become the Sons of God, EVEN unto them that believe on His Name.. Faith without works is Dead, being alone.
He that is of God Heareth Gods words, therefore ye hear them not because ye are not of God. They then said, we be not of fornication! We have Abraham for our Father. Jesus stated, If you were of Abrahams seed, ye would do the works of Abraham. Every tree is known by his fruit, therefore, make the tree good and his fruit good, or make the tree corrupt and his fruit corrupt. Every tree is KNOWN by his fruit. Let your light so shine before men that they may SEE your good works and glorify your Father which isin Heaven.
Now, Is a man justified by what he says, or by what he does?

Nothing to do with oneness and not a snare to drag out a debate! This is from the NIV bible andit is what I use. I cross reference all scripture from the NIV to the Hebrew. I feel itis just as trust worthy as yourKJV!

Chuck you are right on! I was reading last night when it stuck out plain as day to me. To those who obey and keep the commands Jesus will reveal himself! That is awsome!

Thanks man,
And I wasn't even a Christain then..I was simply reading the New Testament straight through..It was October of 1976..I'll never forget that night . Quickly God began to send real Christians in my life and shortly after I became a Christian..After the service I went to Bible college.

In 1997 I preached at the tomb in Israel where Jesus rose from the dead..I told them I saw the one who came out of this tomb..His annointing was upon me and then we al had communion..I don't expect many to beleive me..but that's ok..my life is forever changed.

Regarding your scriptures..what happened to me is not the norm..The Lord I believe knew I needed that visit..""BLessed are they who believe and have not seen."There are millions of Christians who have not had a revelation like this..does that mean they are not sincere.?.absolutely not...In the King James it says he will manifest Himself to seekers..He can manifest Himself by many different ways..

To me this goes hand in hand with PastorJims lesson on worship. Do it the correct way, and God will seek you out. A blessing shall overtake thee in the way. That simply says in backwoods lingo that God will run you down to give you a blessing. Do that which is right and pleasing in his sight, and God will bless everything thou puttest thine hand unto. God will fill your cup to overflowing with his goodness if we only become as a little child, stop argueing and looking for loop-holes, and simply believe what our Heavenly Father says and prove our faith by being obedient unto him in all things.
