Got a revelation this morning..concerning evil spirits..
I really did..The Lord woke me up around 2:30 A.M. and gave me something that I had heard others talk about BUT you need to get it yourself from the Lord..and that is the power of words..The words come from different spirits..Example..a person speaking perverce things is speaking from a fiflty perverted spirit..
none of us are perfect ...yet God tells us "To make the tree good." God's Word is Spirit..Jn.6:63 and they are life.. ..Speak God's Word and you are speaking life..John 1 says and the Word is God..
SO ..what about all those foolish crazy things we say..my dear friends they are not of God..they are of a different spirit..a foolish spirit a spirit of malice etc.." Be not decieved ...he who sins is of the devil." 1 jn 3:8
This is why Jesus said." I say nothing except what I have recieved from the Father." and James says "Let everyman be slow to speak" and also "If any man among you seems religious but brideleth not his tongue ..this man's religion is vain and he decieveth himself."
James 3 says "Hell itself is set on fire by the tongue."
Proverbs tells us "That death and life are in the power of the tongue."
Summary..we are what we speak..Malice , gossip, perverceness, anger etc..are simply spirits and they are manifested by the words that slip out of our mouth.."For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh and this is what defileth a man."Jesus said in John 2.."He commited himself to no man for he knew what was in man."
Today I reminded myself..to speak God's Word..Have fellowship with that still small voice..Take all those other thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ..Take that foolish jangling serious..it's just not empty talk ..it is yielding yourself to ungodly spirits..Our warefare is very real..How sad when a vessel of God is living like a joke and yielding their vessel to the spirits of this world..We are to be meditaiting and living on God's Word..as we do this the devil will flee.James 4:10..Remember when Peter spoke off the top of his head..what was Jesus reply??..Mark 8:33But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men. Jesus called Peter Satan...why because the word Peter said ..although he had good intentions came right from Satan..Peter never took them captive..He spoke them and Jesus recognized them and rebuked Satan,,,
AGAIN..just like we all did as baby Christians..live in the Word..speak it..read it..sing it...and repent of all the ungodly conversation.
Psalm 50:23Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.
Very good post with plenty of truth to concider. Most fail to take salvation seriously enough to give the time and prayer to find the truth that leads to eternal life. My lesson Sunday was John 3:1-14 Ye MUST be born again, WHY?? We are born with the carnal nature that CANNOT please God. It is not subject to the Law of God, neither in deed can be. One either serves the carnal man, or he can be born again and become alive unto God. One that is alive unto God is dead unto sin. One that is alive unto sin is dead unto God. One cannot serve two masters.
Serve being the key word. Servant of sin VS the repentant sinner.
What Spirit are we of??
RE: Got a revelation this morning..concerning evil spirits
Amen Snooky,
..my daily prayer along with other needs is "Lord , please open my eyes to the scriptures."
We also notice Peter ..although he followed Jesus he still must not have had the plan of salvation down...Here we see at the END of Luke the following words..
Luke 22:31And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 32But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. WOW!!????Peter is not converted yet..??? 33And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death. 34And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.
Folks.....Peter had been baptized and doing the work of the Lord for 3 years..and yet he's rebuked once and called Satan..Jesus told Peter that Satan would have sifted him like wheat..unless Jesus interceded for him..Peter with all his earthly strengh says "Lord I will die with you." but instead curses and denys Christ Jesus..UNTIL.....When does Peter get power to live this Christian life?..Let's look.
Acts 1;8But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
The Power comes from God's Spirit..There are many spirts in the world today..Getting rid of the TV will get one free from 100 s of them at one time..The poison or the life of spirits is in their words..There is only one Spirit that gives life..so that should be the Spirit that we want to give heed to and love..That is God's Spirit..
John 14:21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
john 14:22Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
John 6:63It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
John 6:63
Folks..KEEP in the Word.Let's not forget Jesus warning..
Matthew 12:43When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. 44Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. 45Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
RE: Got a revelation this morning..concerning evil spirits..
Chuck,
Excellent post. Sometimes it is easy to get caught up in criticizing everyone and everything around us. If we are not careful, we will find ourselves joining in when the "group" begins to bash their wives or husbands, or we'll go along with our coworkersas they crucify the boss. It is almost a mob mentality that takes over. I have been guilty of this senerio many times. But this is what I've found to be true; it usuallyonly takes one positive wordin these situations to either end the conversation or totally change the nature of it. As I read your post this AM, this is the scripture that came to mind; Matthew 15:10,11 10Jesus called the crowd to him and said, "Listen and understand. 11What goes into a man's mouth does not make him 'unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him 'unclean.' This is another scripture that deals with this subject. James 3:9-12
9With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. 10Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. 11Can both fresh water and salt[a] water flow from the same spring? 12My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water. Thank you for posting on this subject today. What a healthy reminder the first thing in the morning!
Blessings.....Pastorjim

Snooky and Pastor Jim ,
Thanks so much for corresponding with me on this thread.YOu've both caused me to dig a little deeper..
Part 2The Evil Within
I had no idea what I was going to say this morning but I knew thoughts and spirits go much farther than the TV set and other people..There is a bigger monster..The one within..If we had a bigger audience I'd take alot of time to copy and post scriptures but to save time I'll quote some scriptures becasue I know you 2 are very well aquainted with your Bibles..Anyway..we see Peter AFTER he is baptized in the Holy Ghost still haveing problems i the book of Galations.Paul has to rebuke Peter to his face for not wanting to eat with fellow gentiles in the presense of Jews..We also see Paul making statements like Romans 7:24O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
SO I cut to the chase and ask the Lord?? and He remeinded me of...the brazen serpent in the Old Testament..the people grew impatient with the long journey, 5 and they began to speak against God and Moses. "Why have you brought us out of Egypt to die here in the wilderness?" they complained. "There is nothing to eat here and nothing to drink. And we hate this horrible manna!" Numbers 28..6 So the Lord sent poisonous snakes among the people, and many were bitten and died. 7 Then the people came to Moses and cried out, "We have sinned by speaking against the Lord and against you. Pray that the Lord will take away the snakes." So Moses prayed for the people. 8 Then the Lord told him, "Make a replica of a poisonous snake and attach it to a pole. All who are bitten will live if they simply look at it!" 9 So Moses made a snake out of bronze and attached it to a pole. Then anyone who was bitten by a snake could look at the bronze snake and be healed!
My friends ..there is no 100% deliverance on this side of Heaven..until we put off mortality and put on immortality..What we have to do till then is like they did in Numbers..As they looked upon the Brazen Serpent for healing we have to look upon Jesus..trusting Him every step of the way..for he is the Author and Finisher of our Salvation..Let's turn to that portion of scripture friends..
Hebrews 12 1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Isaiah 26:3Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
RE: Got a revelation this morning..concerning evil spirits..
Chuck,
If I'm understanding what you are trying to say; We never get there 'till we get There. I think it's so important that those who are unsaved and unchurched to see that we, as Christians, are not perfect and that we struggle with many of the same issues they have. If we, as Christians, always present ourselves as being perfect and never having any struggles or issues, we make it impossible for the nonbeliever to ever think they can "live up" to expectations. They become discouraged and think, whats the use. But when they see that we face many of the same issues they face and then see that we can overcome those issues by relying on the Holy Spirit, that is where our witness becomes very effective. Excellent post Chuck. You have blessed me two mornings in a row.
Blessings.....Pastorjim

RE: Got a revelation this morning..concerning evil spirits..
Very good topic Brother. Eph 3:17-21 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and heigth; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Let me add my Openion of the term "perfect, or perfection" as in "be ye perfect". God has not asked us to be something that we are not capable of in this life. What makes one perfect? Is is not a state of being complete? A state of carrying out the instructions given? Finishing the task at hand? He that cometh to God must believe that he is. Grace appears and one suddenly is made aware of the fact that God is. He now believes-Is he perfect in that state? IMO yes, that is all that God has given unto him at that point. However this is a daily walk, not a once in a lifetime confession. Each day is new, and walking in the Spirit bring new truth to light every day. Is one perfect if he walks daily in the light of Gods continueing revelation? IMO yes. If he draws back and fails to advance into the light of the new day, is he perfect? IMO no. He has became willinglydisobedient to the will of his Lord and Savior.
I can quote scripture, preach doctrine straight from Gods word, place tracts of pure truth into ones hands, but only God can give the revelation to the heart of a man. I can put the sound upon the eardrum, but only God can write it upon the fleshly tables of the heart. Only God knows what has been seen with the eyes of our understanding. Only God knows what the spiritual ear hath heard.
Each must make his calling and election sure before God.
One can ask, Is this wrong? If one is in doubt, it's wrong. Doubt will counteract faith and make faith void. Remove the doubt and faith will flourish.
I have seen the enemy, and he is us!!
