Col.3:1If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.3For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
I know we don't feel dead.but in reality the Word says we are dead and hid with Christ in God..This was a real eye opener for me this morning..The enemy wants us thinking that we are on the outside looking in ..that we need to try to be approved of God..at the end of chapter 2 Paul calls this "Will Worship." When in fact we are already in Him..We are complete and we are saved.
Trust me ..this is coming from an old legalistic Christian..[8D]yet the Lord daily has been impressing upon my heart how we are truly saved my grace..and our strengh comes from God alone as well as our faith.."For apart from me ye can do nothing."so there is no reason to ever boast..We are His workmanship created for His purpose and glory..
So rejoice beloved for "NOw ye are the sons of God"..not later but NOW!!

I'm feeling this in my life now more than ever before!!
Amen brother Jim,
I'ev noticed after struggling since 1976..that my struggling is all in vain...when all along God simply wants us to recieve His love..
Now some may so."And live any ole way."
nope..that would make me a judge..I'm only responsibe for me..and God's Word tells me rest in Him and that his grace and strengh is sufficient..
In context..yes Jim..we are truly dead and alive in Him..The enemy would rather us go around as unloved step children when in reality we are "Now the sons of God." we are now sitting in Heavenly Places in Christ Jesus."
"We are more than conqueroros" "We can do all things through Christ which strenghens us." "Nothing is impossilbe to those who beleive."
"For whosoever beleiveth SHALL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASING LIFE"
We can only struggle if there is still life left in the body. Cares of this life, temptations, trials, ect. do not effect a dead man. If the struggles continue, take the old man back to the Brazen Altar of death and die out to sin in repentance. Bury the old dead man properly. Wash him in the blood ofJesus, our passover Lamb.Place a cross over his grave and let him rest in peace. Let the new man take up his cross and follow the master Shepard, he will lead in green pastures, beside still waters. Jesus the Chief Shepard will keep the flock from all harm, and give them peace that passes understanding. God is good! His yoke is easy, and his burden light. Blessd be the Name of Our God!
I just checked and I'm alive ! Because Christ lives in me.

This just reminded me of a tradition at my church (others too??) that at Baptism, the last words a person hear before going under are "You are dead to sin," and the first words they hear coming out are, "And alive in Christ!"
Hey Snooky,
Thanks so much for replying..I felt the need to say this as I dind't want you to think your reply was unimportant to me..no sir..your reply is very important as I know you seek our Lord diligently ..
Certainly we don't dimish His command for holiness in our individual lives..the only difference..God knows the perfect walk for each of us in our own individual lives..He is the Way the Truth and the Life..which all of us know..but good to be reminded..
Hey, No problem bro. I just thought it was a opportune time to mention to the board the need to examine ourselfs when we start to struggle again with things from the past life of the old man. Repentance is a lifestyle, not a one time experience. I die daily.
We are still praying for your wife's health. Snooky
