got back from the hospital yesterday evening. procedure went well, stint implanted, and so far-no chest pain. only drawback was during procedure, doctor started cath up right side of groin, encountered a problem with artery, and removed the cath to go up left side. artery blew out as they were setting the plug, and he had to press down on the artery to stop blood flow. he's bigger than the average bear, so he really bruised my leg up. black and blue for about a 10 inch section and so sore it's hard to walk right now. i knew something was up when he told me--don't look down here, and then instructed the nurse to-shoot him. [:-]i woke 30 minutes later as they were removing the cath from my left side. he told me everything went right on the left side, and that the stint was doing what it should. have pictures of the before and after, and it does look like it is carrying much more blood now. he told me i might have some minor pain for the next 2 weeks, as the artery gets used to carrying more blood and my body accepts the stint, but that it would be nothing compared to what i was experiencing. i'll just have to take it easy for a week or so, let the bruising go away, and then, should be able to resume all activities and then some.

want to get to walking more, as turkey season opens in April, and i'd like to get to hunt like i used to before my heart got so bad. thank you all for your prayers, and i give God the glory for all that has happened. be blessed, and a blessing to all you meet--Bill
