Nightmare 68 first let me say welcome to the family of God. My wife and I are both Christians and watched the movie together this past Thursday. I tried to by Mr Macho and hold back the tears while she could not do so. The movie reminded us both of our love for one another and how God is the cord that binds us together.

Can a man see the wind that blows across the earth each day? The answer is no because the wind has no shape or form, which the natural eye can see. Can a man feel the warmth or cold from the wind? The answer is yes, because nerve endings allow him to feel it's effect on his skin. Can a man see the trees as they sway back and forth in the wind? The answer is yes because the trees are visible to the natural eye. Again because a man cannot see the wind with his natural eye can he say it does not exist? The answer is no because the evidence is to great. Can a man say that God does not exist because he cannot see him? The answer is no because the unseen wind has declared him and man's hearts that have been changed by him reveal him in their life

Okay, we have Netflix so we ordered it. We weren't really impressed. There were a couple of funny spots, but his strident anti-religion attitude got tiresome after awhile.

He makes some valid points, but those points have been made by other people in a more reasoned manner. I have no problem with the fact that other people don't agree with my religious views, including Mr. Maher. But I'm certain that he will change no one's thinking with that anti-religion diatribe.

SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We watched fireproof (the missus & I) a couple of nights ago. Weliked it. The really potent part for me was when the guy was ranting on & on about how much he was putting himself out there for his wife, giving & giving & never getting any acknowledgement from his wife, all the while, his father moving closer & closer to the cross...

I loved that movie. It was created and filmed by Sherwood Christian Academy, a high school about forty five minutes from me, which my girlfriend graduated from, so she knows several of the people in the movie. The part of the movie involving the wrecked car on the train tracks was filmed in my hometown. Pretty cool to watch a movie and recognize all the places in each scene.

Production wise, script, acting...not much there. But the impact of that movie is amazing. It's a must see, IMO.
