Does it violate Scripture in any way? If so, it is not God's will as God will never want anyone to violate His Word. Do a lot of praying. List all the reasons for doing it and all the reason for not doing it and look for Bible verses that support these possibilities. You need to look at verses intheir correct context and application and not try to make a verse fit. Go to someone who not only knows the Bible but also is a strong Christian (look at Matthew 7). Ask them to pray about the situation and study the circumstances. Later, discuss with them how they see it and why. I would suggest doing this with two or three other people and meet with them privately to discuss it.
I had a friend who made a very poor decision. They wanted to do something and were looking to find any possible angle to justify their decision. IMO, there was much evidence what they should do, but they chose to do the opposite. From what I know, this person still regrets their decision; and they are very unhappy.
