Default are me being punished

The way things are going are we being punished by God. With the economy and winter taking its toll on many parts of the country.

Absolutely not. Natural disasters happen all the time all over the world. And we brought our economic problems on ourselves.

In some ways I say yes we are. God is like our Father when we do something we shouldn't he is going to give usa lesson to try and steer us the right way. Having said that He is not like an abusive drunk Father, He is a loving Father and even though He may swat us on the butt to get our attention He will hug us after and reassure us of His love. God's punishments are all based on Natural Consequences.

Q.) What is the consequence of having pre-maritalunprotected sex?
A.) STD, Pregnancy or both

Q.) What is the consequence of not being responsible with money?
A.) The money you so foolishly spent will not re-appear, and a bill will go unpaid.

Do you see what I mean? If we turn away from God we are going to have natural consequences.

Some things are just going according to God's plan. . . .but yes, sin has consequences.
I agree with MW, action has reaction, if you spend yrs as an alchoholic, even tho you get saved you may have liver damage forever unless God sees fit to spare you from that. If you were a bad dad, you can get saved but may have left scars on your children and folks who will always have them. Do a murder and you can be forgiven but there still is a victim and a family that mourns them.
Go back to the first sin in the Garden of Eden and you'll find that famine, storms, pain and death are the result of it. . . . .for what we would consider minor disobediance.

Was Sodom and Gamorrah just a natural disaster? When Yehowshuwa returns will it be a enjoyable time on earth?
