Default study the word

Do you think that studying the word once a week is enough? Or should you try and do it every day. I find it hard to take time out during the week but I can find time to go to church on sundays.

How strong and healthywould you be if you ateonce a week? It needs to be daily, with MUCH prayerthroughout the day. Look at Jesus as the example - look how much He prayed. Are you in a good biblical church according to God's standards in the Bible? Do they also have a midweek Bible study? There are a lot of free resources at www.gty.org and www.livingwaters.com .

One can never study the word too much, but with study there must be understanding. Understanding comes by revelation of what is being studied.
We are told that we need 3 balanced meals per day, However we will find a means to grab a snack or sandwich on the run to carry us over until we do have time for a good meal.
The same with the study of the word. A note pad with a couple of scriptures that stand out to you inside can be read several times a day in just a minutes time. At the end of the week, you have committed several scriptures to memory. Just one scripture per week will total 260 scriptures committed to memory in 5 years. How many preachers can quote 200 scriptures? A chapter can be read in a 30 minute lunch break easily. 5 chapter per week = 260 chapters a year. Sun AM, Sun PM, + mid week bible study +156 messages hear in one year. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Be diligent in the little things and you are able to stand when the big trials come.

Just keep in mind however, that you can memorize all of the scripture verse for verse and still not understand it if your heart is not in the right place.

Good answer. It all depends on how strong you want to be. Your body and spirit both need food and exercise. Both will suffer without proper attention.
