Default did right thing

Went out with a few friends tonight. The night started out at a bar pretty laid back. Had one drink was enjoying the night. Then someone said strip club. I wasnt going to go. They kept saying come on GO. Well I drove off. Now I am here while they are at the club. Did I do the right thing?

You sure did. I am proud of you for that, besides we are way more fun! And you don't have to pay us to talk to you[8D]

But on a serious note. Going to strip clubs is very degrating to women in my opinion. I know the age old arguement that those women choose to do that so how can it be degrading? Well for many reasons.
1.)They are being given negative attention, if they were fully clothed they wouldn't get the same response they do when they're naked
2.) How many men who go to strip clubs are married, which brings the arguement that they aren't sleeping with them, when yet it makes the temptationto sleep around even more intense.
3.) The statistics are extremely high for a stripper to start prostituting and drug use.

Women should carry themselves as they deserve and expect to be respected and men should respect women. The Bible says that we shall not fornicate and just thinking is considered by Christ as committing the act itself, not to mention the fact that the bible also says thou shalt not covet thy neighbors land, cattle, maidservant, wife falls into that category, and she may not be married but odds are highthat she will be someones wife someday, and she is someones daughter. And the bible says that when a man and woman are joined in marriage the shall leave their parents and cleave one to another. Physical attraction and getting to know someone in a dating setting is different than pure lust.

I am glad you made the right choice.

Don't let their judgement of you effect your decision. There is only One Judge. And I think He approves of your decision.

the pressure from others may seem tough to deal with, but it dosen't compare with the good feeling that you get knowing you did the right thing . congrats for making the right choice

In my opinion you absolutely did the right thing. But I have to ask you why you're hanging out with this bunch in the first place. You say you want to meet a girl. Now I have nothing against going to a place that serves adult beverages. My mom worked as a cocktail waitress and my husband and I go out regularly to a bar.

But you need to understand that you aren't going to meet any girls hanging with a bunch of guys like that, PARTICULARLY abunch of guys on there way to a strip club. You need to rethink your lifestyle. I'm not putting you down, just suggesting that the way you spend your time is not the way to meet your goals.

Kind of off original topic but: Not sure how they collect blood down there but they hold "donation clinics" up here in Canada and people come to donate their blood. The screaning process involves a lot of questions about ones sexual history and drug use and travel history. One day a friend of mine said he had told his son "If you want to find a nice "clean" girl go to the blood donor clinic." It was said in joke but when you think of it, people who are willing to give the gift of their blood to save perfect strangers and they have lived a life free of drugs and promiscuity(sp) are well worth meeting.

I tend to agree with DLG. Friends like that aren't helping you out that much.
