Default Taking a break

Folks, I am strugling deeply right now and I feel like I am in a battle for my life, one that I am not familiar with.

Luke 9:24(New International Version)

24For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.

I don't know if it has anything to do with it but ever since I picked up the word and began reading it and began speaking out against ungodly things like societies with secrets and liberalism I have since lost my job, lost some friends, gained some enemies, and am slowly losing my will to fight. Today is another hard day as I picked up a certified letter from the post office only to hear that the customs and border protection that I have been in the process to get hired for has told me they propose that my tentative selection be terminated due to dishonest conduct revealed in my background investigation regarding my recent chapter 7 bankruptcy. They also discovered an alias on my credit report that I had no idea of. I don't understand it, I was completely honest with them. Heck, they didn't even give me a chance to interview with an investigator!

I am praying and trusting but I don't know what else to do because I'm getting ready to lose everything. All that I can do is stand firm in my belief and keep hanging on but I am getting tired. I pray that the Almighty Lord will lift me up and raise me above the battlefield so that they will know he is the Lord. I won't understand if he doesn't but I will still trust him.

I'll read any responses that you may have for me but other than that I am going to take a break from this forum for a bit so that I can put all of my energy into saving what I do have. My mom is one of them, she is going to be released from the hospital either tonight or tomorrow I just have to meet the doctor at 6pm so I can learn how to run the bpap breathing machine at home. She has to wear a mask now but at least she will be home for Christmas. That's another thing, I do not know if this will be my last Christmas with my mom. Crap, I don't think I broke down and cried until just now.

Dozen Arrows,
I don't post down here much but have been aware of your
difficult times, want you to know you have been in my prayers
and will continue to be. I wish there was something I could type
that would be of a viable help or solution to you but right now it
would seem faith and hope are all I have to share. Just want you
to keep in mind that there are A LOT of caring folks here and when
they say they will pray for you it can be counted on to be taken
to the Lord.
Blessings toyou and yours.

Finding the word has EVERYTHING to do with it!! The evil one will test you most when you start to hurt him. I will pray for you, DA, that you come out of this fight victorious.
Make no mistake, these are your "trials of Job". Stay faithful, trust God's plan, and know that we pray for you. God will reveal all to you in the fullness of time.

If you were speaking out against "liberalism" while you were in your work place there are few things you need to understand. As a graduate of a large state university I can tell you that most colleges are pretty liberal places. Therefore, beliefs and values that you might consider to be so liberal that they must be spoken out against are considered perfectly legitimate on most campuses. In addition, in most work places the people with the most education occupy the positions of most authority which means that you as a non-college graduate were probably in a subordinate position to supervisors with college degrees. The chances that they were "liberals" are pretty good. Consider that Barack Obama received his highest level of support from people that were not only four year college graduates but also had advanced degrees such as Masters degrees and Doctorates. That the people with the most education are also most likely to be liberal and to have the most power over you in the work place may not be fair but it is a fact that you have to come to terms with.

This does not mean that you have to give up your conservative beliefs or religous convictions but it does mean you might want to keep your opinions to yourself while at work. Verbalizing your feelings about "liberalism" and "ungodly things" in the work place may have been seen by your superiors as being disruptive and possibly even personally offensive. In this economic environment when employers are letting large numbers of employees go, you do not want your superiors thinking of you as a "problem" employee.

I wish you the best of luck in finding a new job and hope that you will consider speaking out in the work place on topics such as politics and religion is not a good strategy for staying employed.

It is too bad that you lack faith but obviously I have struck a sore spot with you or otherwise you would not have used this as an oppurtunity to pounce on me like you just did. I never once pushed the word onto my fellow employees. Heck, the closest I may have ever came to that was maybe printing a picture of our Lord Jesus Christ and adding the lyrics from the "Original Superman" to it and posting it in my cube space? Now if that hurt someones feelings and if they took that personal than I cannot help that.

I have had some discussions with my father-in-law about the craft though. He claims that he is a Christian even though he is a freemason and I have told him that you cannot have it both ways. He's also admitted that he is not allowed to say the Lord's name when he is under the roof of a masonic temple. Why would he be ashamed? When he goes to the masonic temple, he calls it "going to church". He must think that he is another kind of Christian but there is only one kind of Christian.

BTW, when I said that I was taking a break, I meant that I was taking a break from posting on the forums. It did NOT mean that I was taking a break from God.
