Just a guess but chasing women is probably the biggest factor as to why you are neglecting it lately..

Fred,
As a brother my arm is wrapped around your neck..I'm speaking very seriouslyand as afriendwho has toyed with sin ..as a Christian.

Demons are very real..don't think you can put anything before God without suffering loss...to think one can practice sin daily and confess it is one of the biggest heresies in the US of A..God is not mocked..He is a jealous God and anything we put before God is an idol..and gentiles are commanded to flee from idols..I've been reading my Bible for a very long time withfasting and praying and finally after a few years..God has delivered me..Anything we put before God is a stronghold and not easily broken..Fact..very few Christians get back..their faith is "Ship wrecked." I praise God a million times for His wondrous grace..DON'T TAKE HIS GRACE FOR GRANTED..my friend.

We read the Word daily to get our mind renewed ..to get his thoughts in us..The Word also cleanses us and builds our faith..Christianity is not some Bible club..its a new creation..and if one has tasted the Truth and strays..it is a VERY ROUGH road getting back..not impossible but certainly not easy...for their are 7 other demonic spirits and their crafty voices almost sound angelic...extremely deceptive..
THEREFORE, KEEP yourself in God's Word...pray daily and come out from the world.."for many are called and few ae chosen"..also it is written.."Whosoever loves the world maketh themself an enemy of God."

Well, I am not chasing women, but I've fallen in a trap lately too (having a pity party). I haven't opened my bible in over three weeks. And with all the stuff going on in my life, I don't see opening it anytime soon, I'm dealing with a lot of anger.

Deerhunter; At some point in time a man must muture and learn that he cannot serve two masters at once. He must choose for himself which master he is going to serve, make the commitment, stop playing church, deal with the issue of sin in his life, take up his cross and follow Jesus.
Yo-Yo christians, You know them, They are up and down, in and out, round the world, up and down again, ect. never find peace and joy because of the ever present sin that they refuse to lay aside.
The cares of this life does not effect the man who is dead, (dead to sin and self). It only effects the one who has failed to repent. Repentance isn't something that is done and then forgotten, it is a daily way of life! Paul said, "I die daily". Start every day with a "little talk with Jesus", and you will have victory for the day. Seven days without prayer makes one weak.
I believe in "eternal security". Walk with God every day and you will be eternally secure. I also believe in eternal damnation, stop walking with God and you will be eternally damned and doomed to eternity without God.
Choose ye this day who ye will serve. Repent and believe the gospel. Take up thy cross, stand in the gap, make up the hedge, resist the devil, be strong in the Lord, ect. For God will not put more upon you than that ye are able to bear, but with EVERY TEMPTATION, make a way of escape!!

Well let's see. Work is undeniably a suitable activity for Christians. If by "chasing women" you mean looking for a wife, that would be okay too. If "chasing women" means something else, you should cut it out.

Now the question you should be asking is not has anyone else ever fallen into this trap. Of course we probably all have. I say "probably" because I can only speak for myself for sure. So the question you should be asking is how do I get out of this trap? Well the solution is simple. (Putting it into action won't be though.) You need to organize your priorities. Set aside certain times each day for your devotions which should include prayer and Scripture reading and then stick to those times.

The Bible says "pray without ceasing" somewhere. But, obviously that doesn't mean kneeling down in prayer all day long. It means to have an attitude of constant prayer, to be always mindful of your relationship to God. Hope that helps.

Rev.

Brother , I can't imagine that kind of hurt...I'd be already dead..Last weekend was enough for me..I will be praying but if there is anything else I can possilbe do ..please call ..

Now if it was me..I'd force myself to open up to the book of Psalms..and just glance at the Word..I'm certain something good will bounce off the pages..just for you.
God bless,
Chuck7

It just takes so much energy to do everything. Work takes up some. That chasing women I use alot. Yes I am looking for a wife. Not finding some woman and doing a one night stand thing. Its my main focus I would say. I am thinking of christ now hence being the christmas season.

Fred,
It's like deer hunting..If you want Christ bad enough you will find a way..For me and my wife..we get up at 4:00 AM have a cup of coffee and read our chapters..I can't imagine starting a day without God's Word..prayer and praise....It boils down to"Where your treasure is ..there iswhere your heart will be."

"He' s coming backfor those who love Him."

Maybe God is knocking on the door to your heart and reminding you to follow him and let him lead the way. Food for thought.
