well here we are , at the end of another year that God has so gaciously gave us..it has been a rough year health wise for me but i am so thankful for a God who cares and answers prayer..please continue to pray for me and others who are in need.. please pray for pastorjim and the Rev. that God's will be done in their situation..
we are still in the process of moving into an apartment on the lake but haven't finished yet..hope to be settled in by the first of the year..well throw another log on the fire and enjoy God's Word--
"And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God." we are now celebrating the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus, the Christ..there is much said about he time of Jesus birth..well in my opinion we are not celebrating the day of his birth, we are elebrating His birth..it doesn't matter when he was born,it matters that He was born to save us from our sins..that's good enuff for me..the virgin birth of Christ is one of th historic fundamentals of our faith..it all began with the conception of Jesus Christ in the womb of Mary without the seed of man..the miraculous birth is verified in Mathew 1:23-25..by His virgin birth He had the human nature of his mother and the divine sinless nature of hisFather..without the virgin birth there would be no salvation, so we have a lot to be thankful for, Amen Mary gave us a good standard to follow in John2:5, "Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it." you can't go wrong there Amen.Mary is not to be worshipped and is not a mediary between God and us, only Jesus can take our needs to the Father.. back then, many women were highly favored and God chose Mary to be the mother..' it goes on in Luke chapter 2 and tells of the birth of Jesus.. ,"1And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.
2(And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
3And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
4And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David
5To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
6And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
7And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn." Luke 2:1-7 kjv.
what a trying time this must have been for Mary, having a newborn son and having to sleep in a manager..and we sometimes think we have it rough the way we have to live.. they didn't have baby showers back then so she wrapped him in swaddling cloth which as really just rags..then the shepherds came and found them and told sall they ha heard abiout this grear event and went about praisin God for all the things they had heard and seen,,what a honor ir was to be there at that time..
and you know the rest of the story ,how Jesus lived a sinless life traveling up and down the coast of the sea of Galilee preaching the gospel to all who would listen. ending his life here on earth on that hill where he was crucified for your sins and mine and was buried but praise God he arose and is alve in heaven waiting for the Father to send him back for his bride..are you ready?have you accepted Christ as your Lord and master? if not why don't you do it now..tomorrow may be to late...we spend way too much time and money buying gifts for others,,Jesus offers you a free gift, eternal life what better bargain can you get than that?
Father thank you for your Son Jesus who came to this earth to die for ou sins..Father help us tokeep Jesus in our hearts and on our minds not only no but year round...thank you for loving us and thank you for you great mercy and grace..in Jesus name i pray, Amen
