Good morning everyone and welcome o the church on the net.. well thanksgiving is over and Christmas is coming..are yu ready? God has been good to me this week as i have felt better than i have for several months..it is my prayer that all of you are feeling well and are ready to celebrate the birth of Christ which we should be doing everyday amen? remember to pray for one another as i'm sure we all have a storm in our life and if we don't now there will be one.. so sit back, kick your feet up and see what Moses has to say..
1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee. Deuteronomy 13: 1-5 kjv.
here in this chapter Moses starts out with two warnings to the Israelites and it should be a warning to us in this day and age,,he warns them against the false pophets and well we should be aware of false prophets here and now..as you know there are even men claiming to be Jesus the Messiah..and the sad part is there are many that follow them, even to their death..that is why it is so important that we spread the good news, that there is only one who can give us eternal life..oh i'm so glad i went to the foot of the cross many years ago and was saved..how about you, have you been there? if not i pray you will go soon because He's coming soon and then it will be too late..and then Moses warns against idols..we have many idols in our lives today..to some money is their idol and to others it's fancy homes, cars, people The person who would have others seek other gods or desire for others to serve false gods, death was what was laid our for that individual who started the people moving away from the One and Only True God. For anyone under forty, this will have a very hard edge to it. At seventy nine, I can still remember getting fresh chicken for dinner on a farm. They did not go to the store to get it. It was part of life and one did what was necessary to provide for their family. In the same way, we are a country that has religious freedom, but that does not allow us to say we can not do anything. We will NOT kill anyone, but we must be ready to share and testify that there is ONLY one way to God. There are not multiple ways that will bring us to peace. This is very hard for many to see or understand. Go to the New Testament and read the book of John. What Jesus proclaims there is not that of the good person if it is NOT true. Take the time and refresh your memories as God would have us do to see that we must stand for Him. As God was life to the nation of Israel as they came into being, for the child of God, we must lean upon the Spirit of God which lives within us as a child of the King. Take the time to know Him and the path He has for you and your family and you won't go wrong.. God Blss you all..
Father thank you again for your precious Word and may we obey it let it be a light to the pathway of life and that we may draw closer to you..we love you Lord and depend on you for all things;;and it's in Jesus name and for Christ sake i pray i ask you to save the lost and lift all our burdens as we are a needy people and we must rely on you, Amen..
