Default Sunday Sermonette

Well hope you all had a great Thansgiving day.we did as all the family got together at our house and my wife fixed a wonderul meal that was enjoyed by all.. I thank God for the wonderful creation He created forour pleasure..sit back now and let's look at God's Word and see how we are to handle ourselves in stiuations such as this..

28And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.
29And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
30And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.
31So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.
32And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.
33And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils.
34And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts..Matthew 8:28-34 kjv...

You notice how Jesus has control over everything, but never forces His Will upon anyone. we see how these two men have made it impossible for anyone to get by them. so Jesus comes by and sees the mess they are in and realizes that this is not just one or two evil spirits, but a whole bunch wanting to inflict pain and injury upon the men and others that they can get their hands on... more or less like the hoodlooms that roam our strreets today here in the orlando area.. they will kill you for a dollar or two, beat up the homeless and old women..at least two or tnree times a week someone is killed during a drug deal.so .Jesus banishes them from the men and they go into the herd of swine who then run into the water and drown. this causes those who were witnessing these events to run off to town and let them know that the two men were no longer a threat and what had happen. so good news right? No, when men do not want to see the light and be freed from sin, Jesus to them is NOT good news. We see it in how they come to Jesus, but want Him to leave them as they were and they did not want His Hand upon them. unfortunately this can be where we are at if we are not seeking His Face and all that He has for us. we seek God if there is truly a pressing need that affects me personally, but otherwise God please leave us alone and we will handle it. It hurts when you see this and understand all that He has done for each of us. Please take the time to allow yourself to see what God has done for you and all those around you. Take time during this time of Thanksgiving to thank the One who walks beside you if you are His child. May His Peace be with you each and have a most wonderful holiday season with family and friends!!

Father we are truly thankful, although we don't always show it, for the many blessings you have bestowed upon us.and most of all we thank you for Jesus, our Lord and Saviour, who died for our sins past, present and future..all we have to do is to believe, repent, ask forgiveness and ask Jesus to come into our lives and change us..have you done that? if not what better time than now to show Jesus you trust him and love him..and a he did for the men with the evil spirits, he can cleanse you and make you whole..the bible says that, "the blood of Jesus cleaseth us from all sin". what a wonderful Saviour..and it's in his name and for Christ's sake i pray, AMEN....
