got to hospital on Tuesday evening. Mom so very sick, and not looking like Mom at all. severly swollen. she had a torn muscle in her shoulder and her blood had been kept so thin to help her heart that she almost bled out from the muscle tear. they gave her 6 units of blood, 2 of platlets, and 4 units of plasma before her blood pressure stabilized and her vital signs started even looking half way good. the doc told us that he couldn't give us any hope to cling to, and yesterday they moved her from CICU to a general room so the family could stay with her and not only visit for 10 min. every 2 hours. she is mostly knocked out to keep pain down, but is able to talk to us when she is awake. she is ready to get this over, and we are still faced with the question of when to allow her to go into Hospice and not be given anything but pain shots as far as medication or recovery actions. she has already filled out the paperwork for not continuing under life support and assisted living, but we are still gonna have to make a decision soon as to how long to let her go on suffering. please pray that God will let us know just what to do and when. thanks in advance-Bill

Bill Hospice is a great organization with some very gifted people. Don't think for one minute that allowing Hospice to take care of her in not a wise choice. We will pray that God gives you all the wisdom to do what is right.
