Well, here's the last word concerning my wife's lung biopsy. She has a long word disease...but it's about fiber...Her lungs are always in a fighting stage and the lymph glands stay enlarged cutting off her air passages..They say her lungs look like a smokers lungs..She does not smoke and I quit years ago.
She is on 40 mg. of steroids daily...They are looking at her every 6 weeks..if not healed in one year will need a lung transplant..The chances of her getting healed by this medicine is 1-5 ..so yes..we are trusting God for a wonderful check up in 6 weeks. The steroids are rough..they give her terrible dreams and make her very anxious..
Chuck I will continue to pray for her, can you give me her name so I can put her on our wheel of prayer ?
Also ask her doctor if she can take "symbicort" inhaler, it is so new a lot of doctors don't know about it yet.

Your wife should have a bone mineral density study, known as a DXA scan, after six months of high dose steroid therapy. Steroids can cause severe bone loss leading to osteoporotic fractures of the hips, spine and wrists. If the DXA scan does show osteoporosis, she can be effectively treated with drugs such as Fosamax, Boniva and Actonel which reduce the risk of fractures.
I'm sorry to hear about your wife chuck, I didn't know of your situation until now. I'm nota pastor, and I can't quote the Bible as well as most on here, but I'll be praying for you. Thats all I can do. Good luck and God bless.
