Our preacher just preached on how God has a complaint against complaining. How freaky is that?!?!?! And how if you are complaining about the things God gave you, that is a sin. How we must be thankful and worshipful. Then, today's devotional was "Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV). I have been wavering on what to say (or whether to say anything) to my friend's daughter (she's 18 and being a little brat while her mom is doing everything in her power to make sure the 18 year old has everything she wants, I'm sure you have heard this story many, many times before). The friend's mom asked me to speak to the 18 year old when I saw her and I have been praying that I don't have to say anything (for some stupid reason, she thinks I am cooler than her mom . . . how does that happen???).
So, thank you for posting this today. It was the final kick in the pants I needed to show me that I am supposed to talk to her. Not sure what I will say but know that I know that I know I am going to have to speak to her now since it is as if God Himself is attacking on all sides!
