Howdy ya'll.can you believe that it will be thanksgiving in just a few days..my how time flies ..but i am looking forward to it as we have all the kids, grandkids an great grandkids in for a big feed..my order is alrady in for oyster dressing. I am feeling someaht better so may i am on the upward trnd now..i praise God for all he has done or me..likt that song says,"He's an in time, on time all the time God" Amen..continue to pray for oneanother as i am sure we all have needs..well sit back and receive a blessing from God's Word..we love you and ask these things in Jesus name and for Christ sake Amen..
12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel.

16 Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,
17 Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd.
18 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him;
19 And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight.
20 And thou shalt put some of thine honour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient. Number 27:12-20 kjv.
You know, we as Christians forget that there can be consequences to our actions.it's too bad that many come to Christ with a mistaken understanding of what happens within the life of a believer. we think we are immune from things of this world, we think that all will be peaches and cream but let me tell you, there will be many stoms come up in your life, whether it be sicknness, fianaces and many oyther tough times..i know my friends, i have been in the valley many a time so we must keep our eyes focused on God otherwise we will be taken in by what is going on around us. Moses disobeyed God and look what happened to him..but he didn't offer any justification or excuses for what he did, but accepted from God the consequences of his actions. that is what we need to do, when we fall out of God's will we each must learn from this lesson otherwise we will have have distorted view of our expected walk with God. To be a follower of Jesus can as Jesus explains in the New Testament be life of persecution and pain, but our living is not to be for this world, but that we might glorify God by our actions and reactions. God had Moses select Joshua as the next leader of the nation of Israel. the one item that stands out to me is that only a portion of his authority was given to Joshua... for the child of God,
we have have the Holy Spirit that enables us to walk and do all that will glorify God by whatever comes into our life. we must rejoice and praise him in all times, both the good and bad.. we must learn from these examples and put them to work in our lives. Trust Him to walk with you and direct your steps "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5-6
Father thank you for this lesson we had today and may we apply to our way of life and receive the blessings you have for us..and Father may thy sweet Holy Spirit work in the lives of the lost and may some soul be saved,, we ask this in Jesus name and for Christ sake..Amen..

Good words brother Wayne.
I've been walking in a storm for 16 months. Some days I can cope other days it's a struggle to even face reality. I can see a breakthrough thank God for the Holy Spirit or else I would have given up long ago. Thanks for the encouraging words you give us each week. you have no idea how many times your message is directed at me.
we have all been throught he storms Rev.but isn't it great that we have someone that can calm the storms that come into our lives..i don't know what i would do if i didn't knoe Jesus as my Lord and Master..we serve a wonderful Saviour
