Default women and religion

Any time I meet someone that I am interested in. I always bring up religion. Well I never hear back from these women again. Seriously is this a turn off or what?

It depends I suppose, on the girl. I had no exposure to religion other than being baptized as an infant when I met my husband. He is a devout Catholic so I started attending mass with him just out of interest. Eventually I was hooked.

It probably depends on how you bring it up. I suggest you just be yourself. If you hook up with someone who is interested, just let her be interested. Don't get pushy.

By the way, I've mentioned this before I know, but don't appear desperate. My husband didn't pursue me. (I actually pursued him to be honest.) But we just sort of merged together because we have so much in common. That's the way it should be.

Hey Fred,

If you are meeting these girls in a bar...yep..religious talk is a big turn off..Basically religion says one day you will have to give an account for your sins. People don't want to hear that..

However, here's what happened with my wife..Her family had just moved down for a short vacation from New York..Lyn would sun bathe almost nude on the top of her roof. .listening to hard rock ...Cars would stop to look at her.She was my next door neighbor and way out of my class so I would try notto look at her.We both lived on the 2nd floor of these old wooden apartments..In the evenings I would get out on the porch and quietly play some hymns..I noticed Lyn would slip out to her porch and stay out there till the mosquitoes came out..She loved Bob Dylan so my music style interested her..except for my words..I sang hymns.I was in my first semester of Bible college. They preached hard to us in evangelsm.Finaly, after 2 months I got the nerve to witness to her. I ask her what grade in highschool she was from..She laughed and said I have 2 degrees..One in Child Psychology and one in Philosophy. She considered Christianity as just another phikosophy..I ask her to read the New Testament.....and she did..In 2 weeks she read the New Testament..and said, "This is different than all other books." "I want to know this Jesus." She became a Christian..and I made sure she didn't see any better looking Christians..so I hurried up and married her.

Here is Lyn with our 2nd child Andrew..I'm really blessed my brother..She's a natural blond..it's not fake.
