Default Geez...I leave for a week + to go hunting & this is

what ya'll come up with while I'm gone?

I voted before I left for Wyoming. I'm still speechless on how this election turned out. How is it we as Americans came up with this choice out of all of the Americans to choose from? I cried when McCain made his speech. A real American hero and we didn't vote him in? Unreal.

Here's a bit of hope for us....

I also cried during his concession speech.
Thanks for the uplifting post. I have been posting in the political forum but this was a big hit to a lot of people and they may need a bit of time before they cool down and realize that their negativity will do nothing to help things.

It would be a beautiful thing to see America turn back to God and that is still my prayer.

That would be truly great!! Remember all the examples of great revival found in the scriptures?? The sun was shining its gentle warmth as the south wind blew softly. The birds sing their lullaby to the sheep grazing lazily in the meadow. The world was at peace, and all was well, and suddenly out of nowhere came a great turning back to God.
Thats found in the last chapter of imaginations, the book of make believe.
The sad truth is--People only pray when God allows circumstances to come that leaves the people no other alternative, other than prayer.
They turn to God when all hope is gone, and all worldly endevers have failed.
Isn't that the historical pattern??

Katrina,,,

Sorry sis,
But I have to disagree...The unborn children need someone to speak up for them..For me ,,my convictions won't let me sit quietly..The hypocrisy needed to be addressed..God has had His prophets all through the ages speak up against sin..and people all through the ages have been telling them to chill out or stoned them...We are God's hands, feet and mouth piece..Everyone loves it when we have a words of encouragement but when it's time for a rebuke...I hear ..please be quiet....My sister trust me..I don't speak rationally too often...His love rules my heart..so when I speak it;s from a result of prayer and devotion in God's Word..But I'm through..just like Jesus did. He'd speak a word and move on..I do not dislike blacks..I drove 7 hours last summer to preach in an ALL black packed out church last July..They loved me and I love them..

I spoke up against the hypocrisy..how can folks stand in an anti abortion line one year and vote a pro choice man in the next..How can we say amen to the preacher when he speaks against gays in church and then vote for a man who supports gays. Yes my spirit is stirred..I spoke out and NOW it's time to chill..Please don't condemn me for following my convictions.

I agree with you to a great extent Chuck. How christians could vote away their beliefs and values is beyond me. But I don't lay all that blame at the feet of the Obama supporters . . . .in my view , the church in general did'nt stand up. Only one visiting evangelist at our church told it like it was. To be truthful, I never saw one church or christian out there pitching for the unborn or for any christian values. If we had been then more focus would have been put on these issues...Honestly, what little mention I saw made of abortion by the Reps was wishy washy.

Actually I am the one that's sorry I wasn't talking about you Chuck or any others who stood up and said I am not happy with these results in a respectful manner. I was speaking of the people who were making racist and crude statements. Sorry for the mix up I should have been a bit more specific.
