Default Grammy Went Home

Just want to take the time to thank God how peacefully my grammy went home to be withGod and grandpa this afternoon. Diagnosed with "a rare and agressive form of cancer" two weeks ago, we werent sure what to expect. But sitting by her bed holding her hands these last two days was a remarkable experience.. She was so peaceful and calm, and never in any pain, other then her shoulder hurtingfrom having to lay on her back so long in order to breathe. The family prayed and sang her all the way into the arms of Jesus. The last audible thing she said was "I'm ready to see him" Many tears cried today, but I know where she is. I know she is reunited with Grandpa, and I know I'll see her again someday. Thank you Lord.

Amen, for the assurance. The older we get the more people we see die. Death can be such a strong witness to the lost for Christ.Funerals should be a celebration ,graduation party for the departed. And a witness to the lost in attendance.

It is so encouraging to hear praises to God when another brother or sister was called home.

D.L. Moody was fond of saying, "Someday you will read in the papers that D.L Moody of East Northfield is dead. Don"t believe a word of it! At that moment I shall be more alive that I am now."
Oh, what a glorious trip your Grammy went on to that place where there will be no more sorrow nor pain. To that place that was prepared for us so long ago for all those that love the Lord. You can find comfort knowing that she is not gone, but simply gone on before.
We will be praying for your grandfather in his time of grief.
Thanks for sharing with us.
God Bless

thanks guys. driving six hours from school to PA tonight for calling hours and funeral tomorrow. My grandpa passed away two years ago, so they are together now too. Your prayers are greatlyappreciated.
