Why do some people receive healing when prayed for and other's do not?
When I talk to my mother over the phone, we usually end up discussing the Word and what we have read in the Word or what we have heard preachers teach.
She told me she had listened to a preacher on TV several days earlier that was teaching that healing is for everybody but the reason that most do not receive healing is because of sin that they haven't asked for forgiveness of. If they would pray and ask God to reveal the sin they have not ask for forgiveness of and repent of it, they would receive their healing.
I tend to disagree with this. I do agree that healing is everyone, better yet that True Christian's do not get sick. Anyway, the point that i disagree with is the unrepented sin stopping your healing. If I had to go back and remember or ask God to reveal and bring back to remembrance all my past sin to ask forgiveness of them, well I would be there for a long long time. I have faith in that when I asked Jesus to forgive me of all my sin and wash me clean from all unrightiousness and accepted Him as my Lord and Savior that I was completly forgiven, of all sin. I know that I have missed the mark since then but I do repent. So what about the sin that I commit that i don't even know that I have commited? Well I ask for forgiveness of them too.
So what about the healing or not receiving healing? I think that it's a heart condition, having faith in the Word and believing. The heart condition is "hardness of heart". Jesus talked about the hardness of hearts and unbelief and faith.
How many times did Jesus tell the sick "first repent of all your sins, everyone, don't leave one out, and then I can heal you". I think he healed them first and told them "sin no more".
Just a thought. Sorry to be long winded.

Why do some people receive healing when prayed for and other's do not? WOW!! you've ask some good questions today..but alot of them..[8D]My fingers are getting tired..My wife is still having lung issues so I feel qualified ot post an honest reply..

Maybe..but we must remember the healing in the book of Mark..where the friends were carried..and they cut a hole in the top of the roof and lowered him down..Jesus saw th efaith of the friends ..and not necessarily the lame man..
Also in John 9 the disciples had the same thought when they asked? John 91And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. 2And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

I don't believe that either..Paul had an infirmity and it staysed with him. Again as I spoke in a different thread...When we try to figure out God ..we tend to put him in a box..Remember Job..he was a perfect and upright man..and all H E L L broke out on that poor man's body.Anyway, the point that i disagree with is the unrepented sin stopping your healing. If I had to go back and remember or ask God to reveal and bring back to remembrance all my past sin to ask forgiveness of them, well I would be there for a long long time. OK IN summary...I tend to agree to a point..When my wife was sick..and she still is..My life went like this..
a. Search my heart..yep I'mfull of sin
and so is she..
b. we both repented...
c. not goodenough ..we both began to have daily Bible studies..and prayer ..we annointed with oil,,confessed our sins..She was put on the prayer list .
d. Still sick...andhere'swhat Jesus has to say..Mark 9:28And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? 29And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting. e. Also ..we are confessing and believeing God's Word like Caleb and Joshus did..not freaking becasue of what our physical eyes are telling us..But rather calling those things which are not as though they are...believing you have recieved before it is manisfested.. f. Also God is using this ..He is totally changing our lives 100%..and He will heal my wife..
"Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight." (1 John 3:21-22)
Just as Jesus went to the cross to provide cleansing from sins, he went to the whipping post to provide healing for our bodies. As Isaiah prophesied, "By his stripes we are healed."
There are those that say a person did not receive their healing because there was lack of faith. There are others that say because sin was present in one"™s life. Whatever the reason a healingwas not manifested, we will never know! I"™ve seen miracles and healings with my own eyes, yet I have buried my wife, I have buried a grandchild, I have seen the innocent suffer, the answer is, there is no answer! If anyone can say why a healing was not received that man is a liar! This is something we will only know in Glory, but I know one thing, in all things give God praise, where in sickness or in health.
Why do some people receive healing when prayed for and other's do not? This is a question I have heard a lot of people ask, myself included. A lot of people can't see how a loving God could not heal everyone, just the same as why bad things happen in the first place. My answer is that it is God's will not my own. Only God can see the full picture. I can barely see what's in front of me. We get sick because of the fall of man. When Adam and Eve ate of the fruit of The knowledge of good and evil, we saw sin and could now be tempted. Bad things happen because we have free will. But God will use every sickness, and every bad thing to His glory. Just because we believe God does not give us a free pass.

If they would pray and ask God to reveal the sin they have not ask for forgiveness of and repent of it, they would receive their healing. ONLY God can give healing, the bible does not grant, guaruntee, or promise healing for all who call on His name in a true, and humble, repentant heart. The bible says that the days of our life are numbered and only God will know when we will be called home to be with Him. God will allow us to go through certain things in order to mold us and that we would glorify Him in those times.

...better yet that True Christian's do not get sick.
Absolutely everyone gets sick. Muslim, catholic, protestant, pagan, atheist and yes even your definition of a "true christian". We all get sick and we alldie and it will happen regardless of prayer. Imo, totell someone the reasonthey are sick is becuase they are not a true Christian is the epitome of arrogance and stupidity.

Then Jesus Christ himself must have been arrogant and stupid!

No dk. Jesus Christ is God and of course knows what a "true christian" is and knows why a person is sick and/or dying. It's theself righteoushuman being who presumes to know whathe can't knowand then arrogantly and stupidly tells someone that the reason they are sick is because they don't fit their definition of what a "true christian" is. My father was one of the most God fearing men I have ever known. In my entire life I had never seen his faith falter. When he lay struggling on his death bed, had some ignorant idiot suggested the reason he was ill was because he wasn't a "true christian" I'd have decked him.
