Default The Red Day

Hey everyone, there have been a lot of blue posts lately so in hopes of encouraging my dear brothers and sisters I have posted my last colorful experience in God. I am praying for you all.

I was driving into town to run some errands and got caught up in the canvas God so beautifully painted for us. I was captivated by the bold and vibrant reds that day. There are these small trees, not quite a tree yet not quite a bush either. Their leaves were all red and stuck out against the brown trunk as if to say Remember. And at first it was the usual, the bad memoriestend tocome first, and then all the good ones.

The red infused into the cornfields called out as if to say Remember History. So I thought back to the forefathers of our beloved nation. The struggles, the trials, and the triumph.

Then a little further there was a field of golden brown and standing out against it were these red grass like plants, as if to say Remember the Soldiers. I thought about the sacrifice that our soldiers gave. The gift of freedom that they gave us, and about the blood our brothers spilled for us.

Then I saw this vine clothed in red leaves climbing a street sign in a field ofgreen grass as if to say Remember My Son Jesus Christ. And I remembered the Love of Christ, the sacrifice He gave on the Cross. His blood that washed away our sins, the blood that made us free from sin.

On the way home the sun was setting and it was this huge ball of red. There were two wispy clouds in front of it that werealso red because of the light from the sun. It stood against the blue sky as if to say, Remember Me. I thoughtof God andhowHe sacrificed His only begotten Son. I stared at that sunset, the sun God the Father, the cloud to the right God the Son, and the cloud to left God the Holy Spirit. It was so beautiful.

Red is the color of Freedom that can only be bought through sacrifice. We can rest in the Lord and know we are free from our sins because God sacrificed His Son,and Christ sacrificed Himself. He is ours and we are His. And we have freedom to shout from the rooftops that God is Love and through His Love He gave us this gift of freedom. We have this freedom because of the fine men and women who answered God's call, and paid the price for us all. My heart is overflowed with joy through this experience, and it is my prayer that through sharing this your cup will overflow also. I love you all.
In Christ's precious and perfect Love,
Katrina

Thanks Katrina,
Yes, I was thinking the same thing this morning as I walked around one of our "Walking " lakes..4.3 miles..On the 3rd mile I saw by our Yacht Club a nice big US flag flying..I also saw the red and white which reprecents our colonist blood in the Revolutinary War and the white as a nation under God..and those 50 stars in the blue heavenly sky.. and then I thought how much meaning that has diminished in our present generation..Social Studiesis no longer taught ..PERIOD as our schools teach to pass a test. Not me...I will be getting in the true meaning of Thanksgiving throughout the entire month of Nov,.....the last paragraph always chokes me up where I have to turn my back to the kids..and hold back the tears..[&:]There are many awesome facts in which I believe many of you kind folks didn't know..I will post the real Thanksgiving once Nov. gets here..It is powerful..My wife did this paper { helped me }with this paper while in Bible college..I use it every year...I've also given a copyto the other 6 third grade teachers..been using this in the public school now for 19 years..

God bless Katrina,
Chuck 7

Shhhhhh I thought you were going to write about Red Day In communist Countries, where everyone was made to clean streets voluntarily , whether you wanted or not.
It just sounded like an Obama thing,LOL
