Default Sunday Sermonette

Praise the lord amen.. well another week has gone by and He hasn't returned yet for his bride..ah but He us coming and i think soon, so keep looking up and prayed up and be ready..

3And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
7Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.
8Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.
9He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
10He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
11But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes. 1 John 2:3-11 kjv,

As the children of Jesus, we are to be imitators of Him. i mean we should do as he would do..we need to show our love towards one another, have the desire to seek out the lost and give them the saving knowledge.. I know on this one forum alone, if we spent as much time witnessing to the lost as we do discussy other things, what a difference it would make..i don't care if you are a Baptist, Methodist or whatever, what matters is, are you born again? if so then we need to act like it and share the good news with those less fortunateAmen!! now in this day and age, imitation is not the best thing to be. Unfortunately for many, imitation is a way to make money without the hassles of the design and effort to make the original. we even haven some who claim to be Jesus, now rhat's going too far, but there are thousands who believe them and follow them to their death, to have an imitation Gucci, Nike or Rolex is to have something of lesser quality and cost. For the follower of Jesus, this is not an option. we are to be imitators of Christ and when tbe stom clouds gather, whether it be sickness, finacial, whateverr, there will be a difference that can not be explained in human sense. we are not to be someone who has been changed on the outside ONLY, but there truly has been a transformation which is heart deep. for you and I, we are to be not only readers of the Word, but doers of the Word. there is no way we can read the word and allow it to only sit on the surface of our lives. If we allow only a surface covering of the Christ in our lives, then we must take a good hard look to see if we are even of the faith. tomorrow may bring much hardship and pain, but if we are not part of Christ, then we are going at it from a human perspective only.
"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths" that's when we are truly imitating Christ. you all have a great week-end and God bless..

Father thank you for the encouragement your Word gives us and Father help us to be more like your precious Son everyday..if there is one here today who does not know you as Lord Saviour, may this be their day of salvation..in Jesus name and for Chist's sake i pay, Amen.

Amen Wayne,

I like this verse you quoted....

James 1:22But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
