I promised my daughters, Jenni 17 & Corrie 13,that I would take them on vacation after I graduated nursing school. Nursing school took every moment of my time and I felt like I was an absent Mom while going through school. The three of us tolerated the schedule knowing that there would be light at the end of the tunnel.
So, I've got some very dear friends in Wyoming that have invitedus out there for years to hang out & hunt. We'll be going on an elk hunt while we are out there. It's a long drive from Ohio & back& I think we will learn much along the way too. But, we are taking my old van. I don't want to put that many miles on the new vehicle that I just got, Honda CRV. We can lay down & sleep in the van, holds more, etc.
My old van has many miles on it 160,000. I have it all tweaked and ready to go. Had it in the shop twice recently to let the guys in the shop look at it thoroughly. But, they missed the right lower ball joint the first time. I'm hoping they checked everything well the 2nd time. It's a little scary to drive that far and not know anyone along the way. But, if you could keep us in your prayers I will feel protected even more than just my prayers.
Today I am packing the van. I have a 2 day class to take on 'How to pass the State Boards' Thursday & Friday 8-4:30. We will leave 5 pm after my class is done on Friday & will be gone for just over a week.
Thanks!
