Default Palin in favor of dividing Israel

I looked forward to the debate to see what she would say. After she made the remark (about supporting the dividing of Israel) I feel she sold out to the powers that be. No doubt she must become a puppet, but why would she accept the position being a "Born-again Christian"?

IFILL[/b]: Governor, you mentioned Israel and your support for Israel.
PALIN[/b]: Yes.
IFILL[/b]: What has this administration done right or wrong -- this is the great, lingering, unresolved issue, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict -- what have they done? And is a two-state solution the solution?
PALIN[/b]: A two-state solution is the solution. And Secretary Rice, having recently met with leaders on one side or the other there, also, still in these waning days of the Bush administration, trying to forge that peace, and that needs to be done, and that will be top of an agenda item, also, under a McCain-Palin administration.
Israel is our strongest and best ally in the Middle East. We have got to assure them that we will never allow a second Holocaust, despite, again, warnings from Iran and any other country that would seek to destroy Israel, that that is what they would like to see.
We will support Israel. A two-state solution, building our embassy, also, in Jerusalem, those things that we look forward to being able to accomplish, with this peace-seeking nation, and they have a track record of being able to forge these peace agreements.
They succeeded with Jordan. They succeeded with Egypt. I'm sure that we're going to see more success there, also.
It's got to be a commitment of the United States of America, though. And I can promise you, in a McCain-Palin administration, that commitment is there to work with our friends in Israel.

"I watched the debate, she never said that."

Instead of just watching, you should also listen! Palin is a sellout.

I also had a problem with her ho humming around the gay issue..I think she has a hard time not being a man pleaser..which I understand is part of politics...Yes, she clearly stated what she beleives a true marriage should be but then compromised by saying she had friends who were otherwise.THE Word clearly states for us to be separate from this world.. I recently had such an issue in my life. I could have gotten some very goodland rights..BUT it would have cost me ...to listen to lots of ungodly language..cursing the one who bought us..so I declined..For me..it's not worth it..Jesus is not worth selling out for 1000twelve point bucks..

Same for Sarah..real Christians don't compromise.Sure..we can wtness to gays and sometimes we have to work with them but I certainly would not be buds with them;

I was disappointed in this area with Sarah..

Before you dismiss the fact that Sarah Palin is Commander of the Alaska National Guard consider this.

Alaska is the first line of defense in our missile interceptor defense system. The 49th Missile Defense Battalion of the Alaska National Guard is the unit that protects the entire nation from ballistic missile attacks. It's on permanent active duty, unlike other Guard units. As governor of Alaska , Palin is briefed on highly classified military issues, homeland security, and counter terrorism . Her exposure to classified material may rival even Biden's and certainly by far exceeds Obama's.She's also the commander in chief of the Alaska State Defense Force (ASDF), a federally recognized militia incorporated into Homeland Security's counter terrorism plans.Palin is privy to military and intelligence secrets that are vital to the entire country's defense. Given Alaska 's proximity toRussia , she may have security clearances we don't even know about.According to the Washington Post, she first met with McCain in February, but nobody ever found out. This is a woman used to keeping secrets. She can be entrusted with our national security, because she already is.........

That's even better than Obama's and Biden's record!!!!!!!!!

I watched it too and she didn't say that at all. You are implying that a 2 state solution necessarily means the dividing of what is currently considered to be Israel and that is disengenuous at least. And just who is she selling out? Both the dems and the republicans support a 2 state solution.

Yeah, I find it hard to be all gung ho for any of our choices this election. They do tip toe around some issues for the sake of the vote. But one shining thing about Mcain in my mind is that he's paid some hard dues at the Hilton and came back with honor.

Dabowhunter, biblically speaking, what exactly would be wrong with a two state solution?

If a two state solution can result in a peaceful solution to the conflict, then it seems to be EXACTLY what Jesus told us to do in the New Testament.

If you are an Israelite, then isn"™t the Palestinian your neighbor?

Do the New Testament rules somehow not apply to you if it is Palestinians that you are dealing with?

If the Old Testament rules still apply, concerning the Israeliestablishments of treaties with certain citizens of the lands given to the Israelites, what other Old Testament rules are still in effect?

Can you provide a list?

Biblically speaking, how exactly was Palin"™s idea wrong?

Thanks
