Default Blue-Gray day

Today is a blue-gray day. The sky is overcast and there is a breeze blowing to the Northeast. The trees are bowing, their leaves calling out to me, "The Lord is calling do you hear His voice?" The crickets, they are all chirping praises to God in unison. The grass is whispering, "Do you feel Him? He is reaching out to you." A sparrow lands nearby and stops to watch me. It cocks it's head as if inquiring, "Will you let Him care for you?" A tiny raindrop lands on my face as if to ask, "Will you quench your thirst with His living water?" I stand in awe arms spread wide at this orchestra surrounding me. With tears running down my face I turn my eyes to the Lord and say Yes. In response the breeze grows stronger and wipes away my tears. I know I am Loved. I can hear Him, my heavenly Father, He will guide me, and love me through lifes journey day by day. I can feel Him, feel His embrace that says, "my dear child I love you. I will always and forever love you and be with you. I am blessed.

I know what He said is true, in the great commision (Matthew 28:20) Jesus said, lo I am with you always.
And in John 14:15-21 where He said He would pray to the Father and that He would not leave us orphans. His gift was the Holy Spirit. He is in me, yes oh yes I am blessed.

I usually don't share on such a personal level, and at times I go through great lengths not to, but I sat outside today on this blue-gray day and was admiring the changes in the trees and watching the trucks hauling corn, in preperation for the winter season, and I feel God is preparing me for something, which is why He has been nudging me to share.

Wonderful post!

Westminster Confession says, "Man's cheif end is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever." He is so wonderful!

I do plan on it. I love to read and write, most of the things I write now I keep. My devotions and things because they glorify God. It's been awhile since I have written a piece like this one but I feel like God is urging me to write more of them.

I am glad you all enjoyed it.
