sea of sin

I was sitting there watching some TV. There came this advertisment for some show. I was shocked by the material that this was going to have. Some days I feel that I am just swimming in a sea of sin.

You are correct...and when we watch the TVwe are supporting it..Mine was put away yesterday..I mostly only watched ballgames and news anyway...but occasionally Judge Judy or Cops..
Well, I can listen to baseball on the radio and keep up with the news by way of the newspaper.I refuse to support that "Sea of sin"..They are there because of the viewers.

Getting rid of the TV adds about 3-5hours to my daily life
I've done this before but recently when I found out how much money these folks are making....it made me sick..not only are we allowing the sin BUT we are making them rich too..

It's funny ..this morning my Bible reading time wasn't wrestling with the watching of the news..The Word says the cares of this world CHOKE out the word making it unfruitful..

2 Tim. 2.3-4 3Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

Rejoice in the fact that the content of what you saw disturbed you. It is evidence that the Holy Spirit is living and working within you. Praise God for His Livingpresence in our lives! It is onlywhen we become calloused to the world around us and can just accept the status-quo, that is whenwe should become worried. But you are right, everyday it seems our shock level gets pushed back a little further. But look at this way, "when you see all these things begin to happen, look up and rejoice because your redemption draws nigh!"
