I was watching an old Billy Graham crusade in Liverpool England back in 1984 and George Hamilton sang this song..I have heard it many times and have sung it many times yet this time the words seemed to jump off the pages and into my heart..We need to realize that we are only human and can do nothing without God's guidence in our lives..as the song says, we need to let God show us the way because we as humans take to many detours..you know the bible says ,"there is a way that seems right unto man but the end thereof is death".
we need to realize that we are here but a short period of time so we should live for today for tomorrow may never come..yes , live one day at a time..yesterday is gone forever and tomorrow may not come for some so we only have today to live..look at that last verse. don't that remind you of the day and age we are living in? as i look back over the 79 years God has granted me and i can see how we have gotten farther and farther away from God..my dear friends there's going to be a payday someday.I ask you, are you willing to pay the cost..the bible says that "the wages of sin is death" that means separation from God and all your loved ones and to spend eternity in hell..but Praise God that same verse says," but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" which have you chosen? life or death..as for me and my house we will serve the Lord, and i pray that you will too..
