Hi everyone, it's been awhile again. My days have been a bit full.
VBS: Was so much fun. We had about 25 kids this year. Which is okay for a congregation of about 100 members. We are working on outreach but so far the town has not responded but we are not giving up. We keep praying for them and keep extending our hand. Our next event is our harvest party and that usually draws more numbers because it is for one day and in the evening. Our theme for VBS this year was Fully Rely On God (F.R.O.G) Each day the kids lessons focused on a person who fully relied on God. Moses when he parted the sea. David when he defeated the giant. Daniel in the lion's den. Joshua and the battle of Jericho. And the boy who fed 5,000. Our Pastor is full time so we have the luxary of Him coming to do the lessons. Each lesson was interactive and the kids did role playing. For Daniel he had a box for the little ones that had widows that opened and he would have them open the windows and pray, and some of the others had lions masks made out of paper plates. Each one got a turn playing the character. It was really neat.
I am pretty sure I have told you guys that Josh's brother Jake is getting married. The wedding is one week from today and my schedule will free up quite a bit after that. We were also giving him rides to work everyday but we were done with rides on Monday. A prayer request on that will be coming shortly. In the mean time Jake and Tiffany need prayers in general for guidance and the strength to make the right choices as those are usually the hard ones.
Be back soon in the mean time you have all been in my thoughts and prayers. God's Peace
Katrina
