Leaf,
These sites are awesome for our 336 Marlin..The other night it was practically dark and they lighted up real good..If you decide to get them ..the front site is tricky,It has to be pressed in ..You will need to file it down some first..It's dove tailed and pressed in..Also when you site it in..the rear site is nearly all the way up..but my groups are great..After missing 2 great buck opportunities last year because I couldn't get the deer in the cross hairs I decided with tru glo..The original iron sites that come with it ae too dark for me. Cabelas sells these sites..

Yes, I've looked at those and may consider them for my next rifle. I've been wanting a stainless 30 for some time now as just a tote along in the summer months and when hog hunting. Can't go wrong with a 336 and a sight your comfortable with IMO.

I'll give you the straight review on it brother..

you won't be able to put that ring around the end of the site that is on your 336 now.,,,the site is too high..Also I read a review on them from Cabelas..Folks who are not mechanically inclined will break them..They are fragile..You wil need a small 3 sided file to dress up that front site..it will not fit from the package..it took me a good 20 minutes to finesse with it,,then I carefully tapped the front site in with a small punch.

The rear site is easy but cheap..much like a pellet gun site..I'm real careful when pulling the rifle up to my climber with a rope..not to bump the rifle along anything..

Positive..it shines man..and my eye sight is going ..it shines right up till dark..it sites in good..My groups were in a quarter when I left the range..Teh rear site will nearly max out in height though becasue of the tall front site.

Summary ..worth the money and the hassle..I missed a once in a lifetime buck last year..never again.

I guess the rear sight is an integral part of the laser systym and can't be replaced with one of better quality ?

Probably Leaf..it is a hard plastic and adjust real easily BUT it does appear quite fragile..If a tougher one comes out I will buy it..I love my 336 Marlin..one sweet shootin gun man..
