Good morning and welcome to Church on the net..here it is august first already, another day closer to when Jesus comes,Amen..plesae pray for one another as i know we all have things we need for God to help us both spiritual and physical..[/align][/align]Father in Heaven, we love you and thank you for loving us as unworthy as we are..thank you for sending your Son to die on the cross for our sins that we might spend eternity with you and our loved ones who have gone on before..I pray that those that are here today will receive a blessing from thy precious Word and that we will be drawn closer to thee...In Jesus name and for his sake i pray..amen..[/align][/align]12 But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;
13 So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;
14 And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
15 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:
16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:
17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.
18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.
19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.
21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Philippians 1:12-21 KJV.[/align][/align]For most of us when we retire we want to fish, hunt, play golf or to travel..I have been retired 17 years now and yes i love to hunt and fish, but don't care to play golf or travel..but we as Christians need to realize that there is more to it than fun and games..now there is nothing wrong in hunting and fishing, Jesus chose fishermen to be His disciples and created animals for our table.Paul said," To me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Pauls only purpose was to glorify Christ..and that is why we are here, to glorify God.. Paul while in prison and in all the hard times he went through he still glorified Christ by spreading the gospel where ever he was..you know we can do that while we hunt and fish or at the golf course..where ever we go we must stand up for Jesus.. i love these hunting sites, we can reach people around the world with the gospel..what a wonderful opportunity to tell some one about Jesus, Amen? there is always work to be done for Christ, as long as we live..don't say i'm too old to do anything..well you're not to old to be here on the computer are you? Then e-mail your friends and tell them about Jesus or pick up your phone and call some one who is sick and encourage them..every tuesday evening a different team meet at the church, these are mostly elderly men and women 70 and 80# years old and for an hour ,make phone calls, write letters, send out invitations to come visit us and it works..Christ can work in and through all of us if we would think like Paul..for him there was no retirement from serving the Lord..V.J Daniels a great evangelist who lived in Orlando, died at the age of 79 and was still traveling the U.S. preaching..and i might add never took a nickel for it..a dear friend of mine , in his 80's is in the hospital now criticaly ill, but for 60 plus years he and his wife were missionaires to the indian tribes in Peru..what's your excuse?? let's get out and shake the bushs and invite people to hear the gospel and change their lives..don't give up, give out or give in because if you do the old devil will beright there spreading his lies..[/align][/align]Father again thank you for all you do for us and Father if there is one here that is lost and hell bound i pray this will be their day of freedom from the evil one.. i pray in Jesus name and for hisake, Amen...
