Default Tabernacle truths

John 1:1 All things were made by Jesus.
John 1:4 Jesus is the life and light of men.
John 1:5 The light shines into darkness, and the darkness comprehends it not.

The shining light illuminates the object it is focused upon and at the same time creates a shadow which isn't the true object, but simply a forshadowing or type of the natural, or real object.
Col.2:17 reveals this fact, the Old Testament was simply a shadow of the truth which was to be revealed in the New Testament.
The shadow never contradicts the true object which creates the shadow. The Old Testament foreshadowings point to the spiritual realities of the New Testament. 1 Cor 10:11
Moses Tabernacle is a foreshadowing that establishes a spiritual pattern that reveals New Testament truth that is coming forth today. The Tabernacle is a copy of the Tabernacle in Heaven, and was made according to the Heavenly Tabernacle. Heb 8:5
In the prophetic progression of the Tabernacle, one finds Gods plan of salvation. One must enter the one entrance, showing Jesus as the door unto the sheepfold. Grace appears, and teaches one that it is impossible to come to the Father except by Jesus, the door.
Next is a brazen altar, a place of death, As Jesus died for our sins, we must become partakers of his death through repentance. Dying unto self that Christmight live in us. Next was the brazen Laver of washing. Being made Kings and Priests unto him, The priest must wash before entering, lest he die. Only then can one pass beyond the vail into the Holy place. Be ye Holy for I am Holy!! In the Holy place is three peices of furniture. The Golded Candlestick with its seven lamps, The Table of Shew Bread, and the Golden Altar of incense. The candlestick represents the fulness of the Holy Ghost and is a place of illumination and revelation. The illuminating light of revelation, (Spirit of Truth) shines upon the Table of Shewbread representing the written word of God which are Spirit and life. The natural man cannot understand it, though he may quote it freely. God says that he cannot know it unless he be born again, before entering the Holy Place. The Altar of Incense represents the priest position as an intercessor before God.
The outer court is the place of preparation. The Holy Place is a place of service. The third room where the Ark of the Covenant was represents the end of the journey, or the destination of the church

Talk about old timey preaching and teaching!! I was just considering that such was probably taught in the early church before the New Testament became available as they taught from the Scripture available. Good post Snooky!

Ah, I knew there was a reason why I read John first before I started the Old Testament!

Excellent post and very good reading. Thank you for sharing!
