1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.
2 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.
3 Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
4 Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.
5 There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.
6 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad. Psa;m 53 kjv. In chapter 14 verse 1 it also says,"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God." So don't get mad at me God said it..whether in Noah's, Mose's David's or our time, fools have always said there is no God..read chapter 14 and see what God haa to say about them..
God 'sWord is living and also is there for whatever is going on in the life of each of us. David ,the writer of this Psalm must have been in some problem and God delivered him and the people. To him, it must have occurred to him this is very much like some other event which had happened earlier for David but with a slight change. For the writer
of the Inspired Word, when you say it more than once it is just a reflection of how alive the Word of God is. As in Psalms 14, the first verse should put us on the right path, but there will always be those who look around them and though they see the wonders of God and all that is occurring and will say with a straight face, "There is NO God!!" Yet they are really blind and can not see. There is nothing that has happened, is happening or will happen that Word of God can not meet head on and be the right course of action. You and I will, during the coming days, will have many opportunities to be a witness for Him in how we respond and act under the circumstances of life. What will it be? On our own or through the power of the Spirit of God? Allow God to direct our paths
May God richly bless you all and may all your prayers be answered and remember to tell someone about Jesus this week..

Amen Wayne..I spoke about 10 minutes of my message yesterday about what Proverbs says about fools..They are laughing their way to hell as "Crackling thorns in a fire."
7 He that teacheth a fool, is like one that glueth a potsherd together.
8 He that telleth a word to him that heareth not, is like one that waketh a man out of a deep sleep.
9 He speaketh with one that is asleep, who uttereth wisdom to a fool: and in the end of the discourse he saith: Who is this?
10 Weep for the dead, for his light hath failed: and weep for the fool, for his understanding faileth. For the fool... In the language of the Holy Ghost, he is styled a fool, that turns away from God to follow vanity and sin. And what is said by the wise man against fools is meant of such fools as these.
11 Weep but a little for the dead, for he is at rest.
12 For the wicked life of a wicked fool is worse than death.
13 The mourning for the dead is seven days: but for a fool and an ungodly man all the days of their life.
14 Talk not much with a fool and go not with him that hath no sense.
15 Keep thyself from him, that thou mayst not have trouble, and thou shalt not be defiled with his sin.
16 Turn away from him, and thou shalt find rest, and shalt not be wearied out with his folly.
17 What is heavier than lead? and what other name hath he but fool?
18 Sand and salt, and a mass of iron is easier to bear, than a man without sense, that is both foolish and wicked.
1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.
2 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.

Palsm 139 verse 5 says--
Verse 5
You both precede and follow me and place your hand of blessing on my head.
This verse tells us God goes both in front of us and in back of us. He goes ahead of us to prepare the way. There are so many events that God causes to take place before us that we would probably be overwhelmed if we were told how often he intervened on our behalf to help us get where he wanted us to be. It is only after we have been serving God for many years that we can truly begin to understand how God"™s hand has been upon us and guided us and prepared us in the different areas of our life. But he is doing it all the time. We are mostly unaware of what he does for us.
David ends this verse by saying God places his hand of blessing on our head. In other words, he blesses us along the way. Even though we don"™t deserve them, God"™s blessings keep flowing toward us. God has us in his care and watches over us both ahead and behind.
How terrible it would be, to be a fool and miss out on Gods Blessings and guidance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Bible has lots to say about foolishness,and it also says;
but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. (Matthew 5:22)
Calling someone a Fool is not the same as the bible saying, "the fool has said in his heart there is no God. And that a foolish person!"
Qouting Bible verses suggesting that people are foolsbecause theydon't believe the same things you believe accomplishes the same purpose, doesn't it?
Mat 7:15 ¶ Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardlytheyareraveningwolves. Mat 7:16: Ye shall know them by their fruits.
Amen Brother Motor, good words and Scripture . . .it's a foolish child that says there is no God.
Also, as to calling a person a fool I found a couple of commentaries that I thought were interesting when one considers his words to other individuals.
but whosoever shall say thou fool, shall be danger of hell fire. The word "fool" does not signify a man of weak parts, one that is very ignorant in things natural; this the word Raca imports; but a wicked reprobate man; in which sense Solomon often uses the word. The Persic version renders it here "wicked". There is a manifest gradation in the text from causeless anger in the breast, or reproachful words; and from thence to a censorious judging of a man's spiritual and eternal estate, which is what is here condemned. "Thou fool", is, thou wicked man, thou ungodly wretch, thou graceless creature, whose portion will be eternal damnation. Calling a man by such names was not allowed of by the Jews themselves, whose rules are:
Thou fool - Moreh, probably from מרה marah, to rebel, a rebel against God, apostate from all good. This term implied, among the Jews, the highest enormity, and most aggravated guilt. Among the Gentoos, such an expression was punished by cutting out the tongue, and thrusting a hot iron, of ten fingers breadth, into the mouth of the person who used it. Code of Gentoo Laws, chap. 15: sec. 2. p. 212.
