Default Sunday Sermonette

Good morning all and wecome to church on the net..as you see i finally got back on-line after 2 new computers..I hope all has been going well with you..i been having some health issues and ask you to continue praying for me and others who need prayer..this is a hurry up sermonette today so forgive. i'll do better next week..

Father be with us today as we look at what you have for us and may it be a blessing to someone..in Jsus name and for his sake i pray, Amen..

1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.
5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.. Genesis 12:1-5 KJV.

Abram listned to what God had for him and icked up all that he had and went where God told him to go. Did he do it perfectly? No. Abram had problems which he faced day in and out and in some cases he will miss the line very badly.oh how often do we miss the mark when God calls on us to follow him? I know i have ,many times over.. Yet, Abram did not hesitate when God told him to leave all his family behind and move into the land of Canaan. We we in verse three above, the promise that makes what Abram did so very different from all others. God tells him that "ALL NATIONS ON EARTH will be BLESSED because of you.". we may not be able to bless all the nations but we can be a blessing to many right where we are, Amen.. You may look at what others have written about their god and what will happen to them or for them, but no where do you the promise that God has given to Abram. It has nothing to do with what he will or will not do, but it is a promise by God and we know that God can not lie!. Many things will happen on the way to the birth of the Chosen One by a virgin in a little dusty town called Bethlehem. Yet this is laid in Scripture many centuries before the action will truly occur. You and I need to be willing as Abram was when God spoke to Him. We have the Scriptures before us and we must learn to lean upon the Spirit of God and be willing to go and do as He directs. When we do this, then we have peace and contentment which comes from the One who is Peace. i hope you all have the peace that passeth all understanding..sowhen the storm clouds gather, that old cancer strikes, or your heart weakens and you can't hardly go, all you have to do is reach down deep in your soul and get a hold of that peace and it will see you through the storm..Glory to God!!!!!!!!
If you don't have that peace you can receive it today by giving your all to Him who died for you and peace will come and take it from this old man, you will be glad you did..

Father thank you for that peace and that joy unspeakable that helps us through the storms of life. and if there is one here today that is lost withiout a Saviour, may this be thei day of salvation..in Jesus name i pray, Amen...
