Alex posted this ..which I beleive can be some good discussion..
I will like some of you Theologians to explain this to me and others.
Sin is breaking God's Commandments or as some western Theologians say "Missing the Target". yes sir..I believe Charles Finney..came up with that term in the mid 1800s..and Alex..I've seen all of us "miss the mark on here quite a few time since I've been here ssince 2005."
It boils down to breaking God's laws and principles, so how is it that Paul says the Law was done away with ? Paul mentions it in Ephesians 2 and Colossians while sitting in prison..he said the written code / laws were nailedto the cross..Christaboloshing them.We have gone through this before Alex..it boils down to the fct that you don't believe all of Paul's writing are the Word of God..yet..more like a commentary..I do hope you've changed your mind on that one..
That we are not bound by The Law any longer, that the law was nailed to the Cross ?
ALEX...when a Christian TRULY WALKS in the Spirit He/SHE has fulfilled the law..for they are Christ..they are the vine and Christ is the branch..The law is fulfilled in loving God and your neighbor as yourself..
So if a gentile Christian which was never under the Law to begin with breaks the Law, how is he responsible for what he Did ? We are under the law of Christ..Romans 8..and that is much more than the 10 commandments..So why do you worry so much about sin ? Because His grace has taught my heart to fear..and fear spurns on obedience which is righteousness...or faith..for th eGentile they are pretty much one in the same..Abrahams obedience was a living faith which he was made righteous.. Didn't mean to stir a hornets nest ,but this is very important.
In One hand you have Gentile Christians saying they are sinners, when they were never under the Law that God gave exclusively to Israel through Moses, then you have Paul through the church preaching ,the law was done away with, Just what sins have you gentiles committed ? Now I agree Alex..there is certain bunch of "Christians" who beleve a one time event will cover them for eternity."IMHO this is the biggest heresy on here...It's a day byday walk of obedience ..inwhich according to 1 Peter ..working unto sanctification...AS WE OBEY THE SPIRIT verse 21 I beleive.

I'm a little stumped by this statement. . . .if you would elaborate a bit so I can digest what your trying to say. . . .it looks as if your saying that he/she is Christ? And I'm supposing that you meant to say that Christ is the vine and the Gentile is a branch?
Not trying to be nit picky . . .you never know what someone may be saying on here.

"For we are complete in Him" 1 John says ,"As He is so are we in this world." Proverbs calls the righteous man a "Tree of life." We are not Christ..that is another type error..but we are in Christ..And because we are in Christ we are complete..IF we abide in Him..and His Words abide in us..
I thought Chuck meant , we are Christ like, as Christ was the only one to fulfill the law.
We through the Spirit of God fulfill the law in our hearts as the desire to sin is no longer there or should no longer be there.
Which points to the fact that the Law is the ultimate achievement of the believer, for when the Law lives in you ,instead of you living in the Law ,you have achieved Holiness "and without Holiness no one will see God" says the word.
