Default Thoughts on global warming

Note verses in blue..could this possibly be the result of global warming..

Luke 21:25And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

2 Peter 3;10 But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment.[a]
11 Since everything around us is going to be destroyed like this, what holy and godly lives you should live, 12 looking forward to the day of God and hurrying it along. On that day, he will set the heavens on fire, and the elements will melt away in the flames. 13 But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world filled with God"™s righteousness.

Right now..scientist say that 1/2 of the north pole is melted and they beleive they will be able to drive a boat straight through it..this summer..Also if one continues to read in Luke ..it looks like the rapture..or escape could be right before the earth goes up in fervent heat..Let's look.

Luke 21:34And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting,Surfeiting means indulging in pleasures wasting your time..[]and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
35For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

What do ya all think..

Chuck, Idid a quick search for"summer temps at the poles." Here's a quote from the very first one on the list . . .

Quote:
March 16, 2006

"śSummer temperatures!"ť
Filed under: North Pole 2006 "” Børge Ousland @ 04:07 The two of us are now at N88°16"™38"ť, E85°51"™10"ť. We have done 21 km today, leaving 192 km more to go. It"™s been a good day, really. It was merely "“25°C when we stepped out of the tent today "“ and that"™s summer temperatures compared to what we"™ve been through! No cold fingers and not a single cold toe; that"™s wonderful for a change. By the time we went to bed, the thermometer had sunk to "“29°C, but even that is more than acceptable.

Since water freezes at temps below 32 degrees farenheit, I think it's unlikely that they will EVER drive through there. I don't buy the global warming argument at all.

Not gonna get concerned about it.Global warming melted that humungous glacier that formed the Great Lakes region many thousands of years before the Bible was written.

I don't believe or buy into global warming. I believe we have always had and always will have cyclical temperature changes. Warm for a while and cold for a while.

I would more easily believe that it is part of Gods plan for the end, than I would believe it to be a part of a man made issue that will bring about our destrucĂľion.

I dont dispute the fact that global warming is a natural occurance, but I do beleiv that humans have manage to speed up the pace at an alarming rate.

O.K.......... so you are saying leats not worry about it, trash the planet, speed up the process because God will take care of it or are you saying do what we want to the planet because it is all part of God's plan for us and it doesnt matter.

I noticed my name was in the reply..I ;m not sure if that was meant for me or not..but I do care about mankind..I was just wondering if any other households have been discussing this isseu..that's all.The day of the Lord is going to be terrible..I hope some of these post and replies can turn some hearts toward God..I notice you used th eword "speed" I agree..the sorrows around us have been overwhelmingly fast..I can't believe how fast a year is now..As a child it seemed an eternity for Christmas to roll around..Even my students believe the time is racing by quickly..
