Amen REB--You know you hit the nail on the head with a big hammer..
IMO-That is whats wrong with alot of christians(including me sometimes)we pray, we ask GOD to do things for us, We ask him help our family,friends,loved ones. Then we do like any good christian we jump up and contiune on with the earthly things--I trying real hardand I ask God to help me after I pray--To sit very still and quiet and listen with my heart-God doesn't speak to my heart all the time but when he does its worth listening too.I hope and pray that all of ya'll will slow down and listen, you will never know what you missed.
